Apesar de seu nome predominante, este vale é um dos lugares mais emocionantes do país. Claro, é o lugar mais quente do mundo, mas você logo verá que o calor vale a pena! Nota: O tour é de mais de 80 milhas de comprimento, inclui mais de 55 histórias de áudio, e leva cerca de 4 - 5 horas para completar. Novo. Acesso de vida sem expiração. Use-o a qualquer hora, em qualquer viagem, tantas vezes quanto quiser. Importante: Por favor, baixe o aplicativo Tour Guia by Action e seu tour de áudio do Vale da Morte antes de entrar no parque. Oferecendo vistas de tirar o fôlego das salinas ondulantes abaixo, Dante's View é um lugar fenomenal para fotografia, ou simplesmente para observar o pôr do sol atrás das montanhas Panamint. Esta vista eleva-se a mais de 1.500 metros acima da Bacia de Badwater, à beira da Cordilheira Negra.
Este é o Twenty Mule Team Canyon, nomeado para aqueles trens de carroça icônicos que acabei de mencionar. Esta estrada sinuosa oferece algumas paisagens desérticas verdadeiramente excelentes enquanto você serpenteia entre colinas cor de açafrão e ermo colorido. Se você visitar no início da manhã ou perto do pôr do sol, você será presenteado com cores deslumbrantes enquanto a luz do sol laranja pinta as dramáticas faces das rochas.
Nomeado em homenagem a um barão de bórax do século XIX, de quem você ouvirá falar em um segundo, Zabriskie Point é facilmente um dos locais mais emblemáticos do Vale da Morte. Deste poleiro na Serra da Amargosa, pode ver-se realmente como a erosão moldou este vale. Diretamente abaixo estão os badlands. Passando por eles, de cor muito mais clara, você verá as deslumbrantes salinas. Tudo isso é emoldurado pelas enormes Montanhas Panamint além.
Aqui no Furnace Creek Visitor Center, você encontrará lanches, água e banheiros, mas o mais importante... um termômetro! Do lado de fora da entrada há uma grande leitura digital que lhe dirá exatamente o quão quente está aqui em um dos pontos mais baixos do Vale da Morte. Certifique-se de tirar uma foto ao lado dele para chocar seus amigos e familiares em casa.
A partir daqui, você pode acessar a trilha Golden Canyon. Esta trilha de ida e volta tem cerca de 3 milhas no total e leva cerca de uma hora para ser concluída. Esta trilha popular recebe muitos visitantes a cada ano, então você certamente encontrará alguns companheiros de caminhada durante sua viagem!
Essa colina suave à sua direita é chamada Mars Hill. Se você pensar bem, o nome faz sentido! Grande parte do Vale da Morte traz à mente a superfície árida e sem vida do planeta Marte. As profundas pedras ocre, estranhas formações rochosas e grandes extensões empoeiradas certamente parecem não pertencer à Terra.
Esta tela foi pintada por depósitos vulcânicos de óxidos de ferro e clorita. Enquanto o ermo de Zabriskie Point foi colorido em grande parte por diferentes depósitos sedimentares, essas rochas devem seu brilho a uma era totalmente diferente da geologia do Vale da Morte.
Este é o melhor local para ver a Paleta do Artista, uma coleção de rochas coloridas que parecem impossíveis de serem naturais. E ainda assim são!
Esta estrada é acidentada e não pavimentada, portanto, tenha cuidado ao dirigir. Isso leva a uma paisagem fascinante conhecida como Devils Golf Course. Quando a maioria das pessoas pensa em campos de golfe, elas imaginam colinas verdejantes, grama bem cuidada e o som do canto dos pássaros. Mas o Vale da Morte não oferece tal coisa.

It was fantastic & we thoroughly enjoyed the interesting & engaging audio as we drove through the park! It worked perfectly and was nice being able to see our progress and where we were. Make sure to follow the directions & download the app and the tour before you get to the park because there is no service anywhere…as long as you do that, it works exactly as advertised.

The Death Valley National Park Self-Guided Audio Driving Tour really enhanced our experience while visiting the park. Was like having a tour guide in your car offering details of your drive and visit that you would totally miss if you were just driving through without a narrator. Must say, it was a little confusing to get it started but once we hit the park's entrance, almost like magic all our problems disappeared and it was on auto play for the rest of our drive. Good in-depth explanations without becoming boring. Nice interludes of native music to set the mood and let you know the guide was still on.

It was very difficult to get started and after we stopped for lunch, we couldn't get it back. When it worked it was accurate.

On the drive from Reno to Las Vegas, I pass by all the time. Had to plan a detour this trip, well worth it, even in summer. Most visitors were from foreign countries this time of year. I heard a lot of French. Stayed at a great spot, Stovepipe Wells. Pool is open til midnight, has a restaurant, bar, store, gas, all you need in this desolate area of the world. I purchased an annual parks pass because there is so much more to see and I will be back.

Downloaded app. It showed route and interest spots, but I got no vocal. So of limited use. Ended up turning it off as most points of interest had signs

There is unfortunately only very limited mobile availability there! Nevertheless, the app knew very well where you were...unfortunately the navigation did not work for me!!!
Johannes, I’m really glad my app was able to track your location even without mobile service—Death Valley is definitely a challenge when it comes to signal. The good news is that the tour works entirely offline if downloaded in advance. I’m sorry to hear that the navigation didn’t function as expected; this can sometimes happen, but relaunching the app can help in such cases. If you ever decide to give it another try, I’d be happy to assist with the setup or provide an alternative tour or a refund if needed.

I definitely found this useful. Download the Death Valley app BEFORE you arrive and purchase the tour. Download which tour starts at your arrival gate, again before you have the bad cell service in the valley. When you turn on the tour, it provides a 2 minute blurb of interesting history and travelogue every few minutes, triggered automatically by your GPS location. You can stop whenever you want, and just restart as needed. You can go back later and relisten to segments or start a new section. I also recommend the free National Park Service app as a companion. It has good descriptions of hiking trails, scenic viewpoints, hours, road closure alerts.
