Nosso passeio começará em Messina, a antiga "porta de entrada para a Sicília", onde história e modernidade, lendas e tradições, resiliência e beleza se misturam. Após o nosso encontro, caminhando pela estrada panorâmica que acompanha o porto em forma de foice, você poderá admirar a estátua da Madonna della Lettera, a protetora de Messina que acolhe todos os que chegam pelo mar. Daqui partiremos para o nosso passeio por duas joias do nosso território: Castelmola e Taormina.
Nossa primeira parada será a encantadora vila medieval de Castelmola, situada no alto de uma colina com vista panorâmica! Castelmola, que outrora abrigou um antigo castelo normando, é hoje conhecida por ter um dos bares mais singulares do mundo: o Bar Turrisi! Um autêntico ponto turístico siciliano conhecido por seu mobiliário singular. Aqui faremos uma pausa para explorar o significado cultural das icônicas formas fálicas usadas como decoração de bares. Longe de serem vulgares, são uma homenagem vibrante à cultura da Grécia Antiga, simbolizando a própria essência da liberdade, da fertilidade e da vida. Este é o lugar perfeito para saborear uma taça do famoso vinho de amêndoa acompanhado de deliciosos cannoli sicilianos.
Nossa jornada continuará com a descida em direção à renomada "pérola do Mediterrâneo": Taormina. A entrada é feita pelo arco histórico da Porta Catania. Você mergulhará no rico passado da cidade, explorando o espetacular anfiteatro greco-romano (ingresso não incluído no passeio), uma obra-prima da engenharia antiga com vistas deslumbrantes do Monte Etna e do mar, e depois seguirá para o esplêndido e mágico Jardim Público Lady Florence Trevelyan. Em seguida, passeando pela Corso Umberto, a animada rua principal e antigo decúmano, você estará cercado por boutiques elegantes, cafés animados, vielas pitorescas e edifícios históricos que preservam a verdadeira essência da cidade. Por fim, iremos de carro até um ponto de vista estratégico e único para admirar e fotografar a vista deslumbrante da icônica Isola Bella, deixando em você uma lembrança indelével e inesquecível de nossa bela terra.
Após nossa visita a Taormina, retornaremos a Messina, onde, se o tempo e a energia permitirem, você poderá se maravilhar com o centro histórico da cidade e, em particular, com a torre sineira do Duomo, que abriga um dos maiores e mais complexos relógios mecânicos e astronômicos da Europa. Ao final do dia, levaremos você de volta ao ponto de partida, esperando que você tenha tido um dia emocionante conosco.

We had a perfect day! We docked in the port of Messina and spent the day with Alessandro and Marisa. They could not have been more accommodating. They explained everything and had so much patience with us. It felt like we were hanging out with friends and family. This has been the highlight of our trip. If you get the opportunity to spend the day with Booking Sicily Tours it will exceed your expectations.
We visited Sicily with the excursion to Taormina and Castelmola offered by Booking Sicily Tour, and we had an excellent day. A big thank you to our French guide, Pari, who was very friendly, professional, and passionate. Her explanations were clear and interesting, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Thanks also to our driver Rosario, for his careful driving and his warm welcome. The organization was perfect and the landscapes of Taormina and Castelmola are magnificent. We had the absolute best time in Sicily thanks to Alessandro, Marisa and Massimo! Marisa and Massimo took us to Taormina, Castelmola, and a last minute beach stop to swim. As we drove we learned wonderful things about our surroundings and the history of each stop. We enjoyed sampling the special food and drink of Castelmola and Taormina--each recommendation and offering by Marisa was amazing and delicious! Marisa took us on a walking tour through Castelmola and Taormina and it felt like a special time of learning from an old friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with them both! And as a special bonus, Marisa sent me pictures afterward that were the best pictures of my husband and me from our entire trip! She is a gifted photographer too! You will not regret spending the day with Marisa and Massimo!
We just had a lovely day with Alessandro in Sicily today. He collected us from our cruise ship in Messina and took us to Taormina. Showing us sights along the way. He was waiting for us well before we docked. He kept in contact with us when we had free time so we never had to worry about a thing. He was professional and really knows his way around Sicily. I would not hesitate to recommend him and we will certainly call on him again if we are in Sicily. Thank you Alessandro!!

Marisa from Booking Sicily Yours was absolutely amazing. The pick up from our cruise ship was seamless. Right there at the end of the pier. Communication was also excellent. We got on a very spacious air conditioned van. Marisa brought us to Castelmola as our first stop with views of the smoking Mountain Etna. So cool. We went to a very “unique” bar where we tasted cannolis and “shots.” The views were amazing but be prepared to walk up hills and steps to get there. We then headed to Taormina which had amazing shopping and even better restaurants. We had plenty of time there. Marisa gave us a lot of information, made sure we were all comfortable, always made sure she did what the group wanted and even gave us a little keepsake at the end of the trip. We were back to the ship in plenty of time. What a great day in Sicily. We would recommend this trip to anyone (as long as you are good with a lot of walking).
Can not recommend Alessandro enough! He was a 10 out of 10! Was so knowledgeable and accommodating. Had great recommendations and treated our entire group like family. Alessandro was the best guide of our trip and will book again next time we are in Messina ,
We booked our trip after seeing great reviews for Alessandro. They were not wrong ..from start to finish he and Marisa were excellent. My mother needs a wheelchair to get around and they insisted on pushing her and took their time with her. Marisa was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of facts and history but more than that she was so lovely and it was so easy to get on with her. I cannot say enough good things about them both and would thoroughly recommend anyone to book with them.
Absolutely one of the best experiences ever. They took the time to know everything we wanted to do and see, including shopping, sites, pictures, food, wine recommendations were out of this world.this made it so much more efficient and personalized.
