De Surabaya / Malang: Monte Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N

Due to the forest fires around Bromo, the trip could not go ahead as planned. Seeing the Bromo at sunrise was possible but we could not go to the crater rim. As an extra we therefore got an extra trip to the Madakaripura Waterfall. That was beautiful. Because the communication went so well beforehand we asked if they could also arrange train tickets from Jakarta to Yogyakarta. That is arranged without a deposit and it has nothing to do with the booked trip. Our guide Arya has done everything to arrange things for us. He took his time for everything and everything could be done at our pace. It was very nice that he showed genuine interest in our family. He talked to everyone about what we do, and so on. In two days you learned so much from each other.

I did the 2 day tour to visit Bromo and Ijen. My guide Tegar and the driver Irfan were both amazing! They were always very friendly and attentive to details. I had a great time doing the two hikes and exploring the natural beauty of E. Java.

We did the inversed route Ijen- Bromo from Surabaya, as a couple. I have not enough words to describe how beautiful has been this experience, from the beginning to the end. The organisation was perfect. The landscapes are the most stunning ones I have seen in my life. Best of all, and thanks to our wonderful caring and kindest guide Hirman, and our driver Yohanez, who made this experience simply perfect. They both did everything possible to make us happy and confortable throughout all the trip. Together we created memories that I will cherish forever. Even if the Ijen hiking was challenging and we had to condense both hiking in 2 days ( Ijen first night and Bromo the second night) I would re do it again a 1000 times with them. If you are looking for the best tour available, this is the one.

From start to finish, our trip with Arya (our guide with Cheap Bromo) was excellent. Arya was wonderful - always helping and giving guidance, information and support when needed. We could not have had a better person helping us. The trip itself was truly memorable. The sunrise on Mount Bromo and our hike up to the craters edge was spectacular. The views are truly stunning of this rugged scenery. Words cannot do justice to how magical it is to watch the volcanoes be bathed in golden light so early in the morning. After such an early morning hike, we then went to a truly natural wonder - Madakaripura Waterfall (Air Terjun Madakaripura). It is so green and lush, the water is cool and refreshing and seeing the 250m tall waterfall plunge into the 20m pool is extraordinary. The trip to Ijen was so challenging but truly worth it. Steep slippery paths led up to the spectacular sulphuric volcano. A stunning blue lake awaited us bathed in morning light and clouds. I couldn’t recommend going with Cheap Bromo enough - they are so professional, kind and helpful. You get water, delicious meals and a comfortable hotel to stay in. Having the driver really helped with the logistics and we even got to see some hidden gems. I would recommend this to anyone coming to East Java - it was one of our highlights of visiting this wonderful country.

Just memorable. Absolutely a.must-to-do.

Director Med has a good time schedule, will try to arrange as little time as possible so that we can have a comfortable experience, and will take us to places where we can take photos of beauty. Take a two-person trip, so you can feel very comfortable on the jeep to Bromo mountain.

It was a really satisfying trip. The start of the tour was very flexible to accommodate our flight arrival time. Above all, our guide, Ilgi, put our safety and what we really wanted to do first. I had the primary purpose of this trip to take pictures with an SLR, but he really understood that and showed me around many photo spots. Also, when I said I wanted to see the sunset on the first day, he showed me the sunset spot. It was really fun and I can say with confidence that I would not have enjoyed it so much if I had not chosen this tour☺️The hotel was better than I expected and the breakfast was so delicious. If you are especially Japanese and thinking about Mount Promo, I really recommend it! Mr. Ilgi can also speak Japanese, so he has never had trouble speaking. 😊
