Somos verdadeiramente abençoados com uma maravilha natural esculpida ao longo de milhões de anos: o hipnotizante Desfiladeiro de Gaitanes. O início desta “trilha” remonta ao século XX. O que eles engenhosamente criaram é um caminho que tem apenas 1 metro de largura e se estende por 3 quilômetros, elevando-se a incríveis 100 metros acima do solo! Poucos anos depois, durante a inauguração da Barragem pelo estimado Rei Alfonso XIII, percorreu este extraordinário percurso e conferiu-lhe o nome que ostenta com orgulho até hoje: “El Caminito del Rey”. Apenas 1 hora separa Málaga de El Chorro, a cidade onde começa a nossa aventura. O percurso em si é curto e sem dificuldades, abrangendo 3 quilómetros de terreno totalmente plano. No entanto, o verdadeiro encanto reside na sua extraordinária localização, com troços suspensos a mais de 100 metros acima do rio. Prepare-se para passear por passarelas vertiginosas, atravessar o reservatório em pontes imponentes e saborear vistas deslumbrantes de mirantes íngremes.
