This was a great day trip. The guide was punctual, very knowledgeable and organized. There were 5 people in our group. The cost was a little more than some of the other tours, but this one included admissions for the various castles, Roman ruins/museum, and Tintern Abbey. I would highly recommend.
The 3 Amazing Castles tour included just the right blend of sights and history. Andy is a delightful and informative guide. It was very helpful that admission was included for smooth entry into each site.
Excellent trip. Very Knowledgeable guide. The castles were varied and interesting and the Abbey was an outstanding ruin
The walk was wonderful. The beauty of the sites visited was enhanced with the excellent guidance of Andy, our friendly and experienced guide from all over the tour. We start with Tintern Abbey and end with the imposing Caerphilly Castle, on paths of beautiful vegetation
Excellent day tour with Wales Outdoors. Andy was knowledgeable and and the sites fascinating. All fees included in price, so more time to explore. Comfortable van. Highlight of my visit to Wales
I have very nice experience with this tour. Andy the tour guide has good knowledge on all the sites and very friendly explaining the history of the sites.
This was a great tour and worth every penny. Andy was extremely knowledgeable about the castles and Wales in general, and was an excellent guide. All of the entrance fees to the castles were included in the price. He organized the tour so we could efficiently get from place to place and we had a wonderful lunch in a little café in Caerleon. Also, the Roman fortress and baths there’re were amazing. Not to be missed if you have the time.
This was the highlight of our two-week Wales-London-France trip. Of all the amazing tours we went on and sites we saw, both my husband and I thought this was the most memorable and the most fun. Andy was the best guide we had, because he was knowledgeable about all the sites we saw and could answer questions about them, and he also engaged with us when we asked general questions about historical and modern Wales. He had enthusiasm for his subjects and showed interest in us. This was a small group at the maximum of seven guests, which gave us all time to engage with Andy to the amount we wanted to, as well as to talk with other guests. Caerphilly Castle was our favorite stop of the tour (and trip!) We had a decent amount of time to explore after Andy gave us a good overview of the grounds. I also really enjoyed Chepstow Castle. My only wish is that we'd had more time at Tintern Abbey, which turned out to have more extensive grounds than expected. This was our lunch stop, and we had our lunch first so that we could explore the Abbey afterwards and not have to try to estimate how much time we needed to set aside for lunch. All of the stops had decent time set aside to explore and take pictures. This is a full-day tour, but there is driving time between stops, so there is time to rest at least a little between. Even though we are not in the best shape, the pace was fine for us. We saw five amazing sites over the course of the day, had a wonderful time, and got back at almost exactly 6:00 pm/18:00, as advertised. Thank you, Andy, for the best tour of our trip!
Great day. Andy made it a wonderful trip. No hurrying us along. Spoke alot about the cou try and areas. The itinerary was really good. Lots of pit stops. Would go again with Andy.
