De Bucareste: Santuário do Urso, Castelo de Dracula e Brasov

We had a great day and really enjoyed this trip. Bogden our guide was amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. The drive went smoothly and was very comfortable. Loved the bear sanctuary and hearing how the bears now live better lives. Dracula’s castle was great and we enjoyed Brasov, the walking tour was really interesting. However we did only get 40 minutes free time which felt a little rushed and we couldn’t properly explore and had to quickly stop for a drink in the square before rushing back to the van. My only bit of feedback is about the price of the trip, it does seem a little on the expensive side compared to other day trips and I think when factoring in still having to buy admission tickets it does feel like quite a lot. I chose this as it was the only one going to the best sanctuary and the price didn’t take away from the amazing day we had but I do wonder if more people would be interested if it was more reasonably priced in comparison with other day trips to Transylvania. I would definitely reccomend this trip though and I guess that is more just my honest feedback.

Would definitely recommend this trip to Bear sanctuary, Bran Castle and Brasov we had the most amazing day. Free time to spend at all the sites in a long but action packed fun day. The tour guide Alex really goes out of his way to provide anything and answer any questions. Must book!

Alex was an amazing guide. The bear sanctuary alone is worth the trip. Would recommend to anyone going to Bucharest if they have a day free.

Wonderful tour of the biggest sights in Transylvania - bear sanctuary was amazing, Bran castle was fascinating and we had a good amount of free time in Braşov (we took the cable car and hiked to the viewpoint). Alex was a great guide - very friendly and knowledgeable.

This is a full day of experiencing Romania. Awesome to see the bears in the sanctuary, we also saw the rescued wolves. Bran castle is very striking and historic. And Braşov is a gorgeous historic town with a lot to see. Alex was very helpful and organised as our guide and driver. Quite a long day but you can rest during the drive!

This was a good tour with some experiences that could be improved. The bear sanctuary was wonderful and educational with many bears to be seen. Dracula's castle was nice and fun but would have been better served if we had a guide to walk us through the exhibits and explain all that we saw. The final portion which was free time in the city of Brasov(sp) was ok. It is not a huge area so you really are just there to souvenir shop and get your own lunch. I would have preferred taking that time to go visit another tourist attraction instead.

Everything was spectacular. Alex, our guide, drove really well and we arrived at a very good time at the Libearty Sanctuary. Later we went to Bran to Dracula’s Castle, where he gave us a very good explanation before going in, that helped us to understand everything that was happening inside. Right there we went to the small market to eat some delicious snacks, and finally we went to Brașov to eat and walk around for a couple of hours before returning to Bucharest after almost 14 hours of adventure.

Alex was such a wonderful tour guide and took all the stress out of managing transportation to all the popular stops. Getting to these places from Bucharest is not easy as a tourist so it was such a relaxing experience knowing he had it covered. Highly recommend if you want to see other parts of the country while your home base is in Bucharest.

Wow... this was one of the best tours I have been on. Alex was an exceptional guide, and arranged a balanced tour with a variety of activities. The Transylvania region is very diverse, so having an itinerary with different activities made each stop feel so special. This company started organizing tours to the bear sanctuary, if I understand it correctly, so they are extremely informative about the history and the animals. It's a long day, but worth it for sure. They also try to keep the groups small, whereas the other companies don't prioritize the customer experience. If you are able, spending the extra money will make a huge difference in the quality of your day. Also, book the fast pass for Bran Castle... otherwise the line is extremely long!
