Cecilienhof foi o último palácio construído pela Casa de Hohenzollern que governou o Reino da Prússia e o Império Alemão, até o fim da Primeira Guerra Mundial. What a wonderful walking tour all about Potsdam! Katia was a splendid, super knowledgeable guide who had a lot of terrific information. She met me at the appointed time, and guided me on a lovely train and bus ride to Potsdam. We spent the next three hours walking all about the beautiful areas: we stopped at the Potsdam villa (where the end of WWII was negotiated after FDR died), circled about the beautiful lake and countryside near the villa, walked up and down the historic old town where Katia pointed out numerous important sights, and then wrapped up our tour at the gorgeous Sanssouci Palace. Overall, this is a lovely, relaxing way to spend the day and learn something about Potsdam and its history. The walk, while three hours (roughly) was not at all challenging--I LOVE to walk, so for me it was a pleasure. Howe er, for those who may be a bit intimidated, don't worry. It was all flat, gentle, and an easy walk.
Our guide, Katia, is very knowledgeable. Since our trip is more about the histories about the division, I enjoyed Katie’s retelling the histories about Glienicke bridge, exact border line for prisons exchange and site of Potsdam conference , even though it was a small portion of the tour.
We had a lovely tour with Patrick. He was knowledgeable and engaging. The tour started at a youth hostel that has a wc in the basement. Patrick helped us purchase ABC tickets for our journey. Pottlsdam was absolutely lovely. The gardens and homes were stunning. It was so nice to be on a tour and not have to figure out where to go. Patrick had interesting commentary along the way. We saw the outside of structures and walked through the gardens. We did not enter the buildings. We had a break in the middle when we could eat lunch and shop. After the break we walked to the Sanssouci Palace and enjoyed the views, grounds and Patrick's commentary. We then had a choice to stay in Pottsdam or return via train to Berlin. We left Pottsdam around 4. If it hadn't been so hot, many of us may have stayed longer. Pottsdam is a lovely town with interesting places to eat and shop. I highly recommend this tour especially with Patrick as your guide.
Our guide Katja was very attentive to the group’s comfort on a hot day. She had vast knowledge of the German kings and shed light on what their lives were like. Katja made the history of the Potsdam Conference come alive with little known stories. This was a perfect tour for history and culture lovers. Potsdam is a gorgeous town.
We really enjoyed our tour with Patrick, wandering through the parks and Potsdam. The palace was great and we stayed behind after the tour and went through the Palace and made our own way back.
We had booked the tour around 5 pm the day before the tour. We showed up at 10 am the next morning, and the guide for another tour told us that our tour was cancelled. We have 2 issues with this: 1) Why were we allowed to book (on Trip Advisor) the evening before? They should have seen that not enough reservations came in and anticipated the cancellation such that no reservations should be allowed to be made. 2) Why were we not notified via email or text the morning of the tour before meeting time?

Our family had the pleasure of getting Miguel as our tour guide. Miguel is incredibly knowledgeable and precise with his information. His ability to transport us into history, from stories of royal family feuds to the lesser-known stories of ordinary people's hijinks, was incredible. I cannot describe this tour in any other way than world-class. Very rarely do you find somebody so passionate, knowledgeable, and articulate as Miguel.
Patrick was a great guide from Berlin to Potsdam with deep WW2 and palace history knowledge. highly recommended tour wow
So informative and interesting stories for Miguel. We had him for both our tours and he as so patient with us and told us so many memorable stories. Much better than most guides. He would also prep us for what we will see and then remind us when we got there so we would remember. Great learning experience!
