Day trip to Fátima Miradaire Caves Óbidos village and Castle

What a great tour! This was our 3rd trip to Portugal and we decided to try Galo Tours for a day trip. Our tour guide, Junior, took us on a wonderful journey to Fatima, Miradaire Caves, and to Obidos. We learned many new things about Portugal's history during our tour, as our guide was very knowledgeable in this area. He kept our kids interested and helped us find a lovely cafe' for a quick coffee and a bite. We went to see many great spots, try some new adventures, and go off a bit on our own - all of which added up to an amazing experience. Thank you, Junior & Galo Tour!

It was an amazing experience! It was a great way to get out of Lisbon and see more around the area. Agenor was an amazing tour guide very kind and had very insightful and informative history that even me a university student was intrigued by. He had water bottles for us and even umbrellas for the rain. The three stops were very neat and all very different leading to a beautiful well rounded day.

Fantastic Day with Agenor! We had an incredible day exploring Fátima, Óbidos, and the caves with Agenor, and we cannot recommend him enough! Even though the weather wasn't on our side, Agenor was a total pro. He was incredibly thoughtful, making sure we all had umbrellas to navigate the rain comfortably and keeping us stocked with plenty of bottled water throughout the trip.His kindness and preparation made a rainy day feel like a breeze. The Sanctuary of Fátima was beautiful despite the clouds, the caves were a perfect escape from the weather, and the medieval streets of Óbidos were just as charming. Agenor is knowledgeable, flexible, and truly looks after his guests. If you want a guide who goes the extra mile—rain or shine—book with him!"

We chose To do a Galo Tour to Fatima, the Caves of Mira de Aires, and Obido. Agenor our guide was helpful, knowledgeable, pleasant and gave us the freedom to move around each place at our own pace. He highlighted the most important aspects, gave us the historical facts pertaining to each place, took us to the best shops and gave us restaurant recommendations. And did I mention he picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel! We loved it! So easy! The cave was fascinating and Obidos is not to be missed and is where we had the most Fabulous lunch ever!! I highly recommend this tour

Great day hosted by Agenor Junior. We visited the Church in Fátima, Mira de Aire Caves, and Óbidos. We heard interesting stories about the history of Portugal and the places we visited. All the locations were beautiful and totally worth visiting. We truly recommend Galo Tour Portugal!

Junior was such a fantastic tour guide — personable, friendly, and a true gem! His knowledge and explanations of Portugal’s history were excellent, and his willingness to be flexible with our timeline allowed us to spend extra time at the places we enjoyed without ever feeling rushed. We greatly appreciated that. The church in Fátima was beautiful. We were lucky to experience an outdoor service when we arrived — it was moving to see so many people gathered there. The history of the small chapel outside, shared by Junior, made the visit even more meaningful. The cave tour was something I never would have expected to see in my lifetime — truly unforgettable. The town of Óbidos was compact but full of charm; it felt like we could have spent hours simply strolling through its beautiful streets. Highly recommend this experience!

Galo Tours made our small group trip amazing! We had a last minute change and our guide, Junior, adapted our program wonderfully! We ended up with an unplanned morning in Belem with time for Pastel de Belem & coffees; then he took our pictures at the monument of the Discoveries, Monastery of Jeranimos and Tower of Belem. We had a great drive to the Miradeaire caves -where he dropped us off at the top and then met us at the bottom so we wouldn’t have to walk uphill! Then we went to Obidos! What a great time in the walled city! Lunch on our own at Tasca10 (amazing by the way) followed by Christmas shopping as the town was just starting their decorations and Ginja shots in chocolate cups! Junior adapted our day to meet our needs and even did a video summary of all our pictures! While we didn’t go to Fátima (at our request as we saw it on a different tour) or Mafra Palace ( again our choice), we had an amazing day with Junior and Galo Tours! Oh- and he was great on communication both before the tour as he advised us that our originally selected dates would have had us at the palace on a day it was closed, and during the tour working with our changes to let us know how the changes we requested would impact our travel day! You can’t go wrong with Galo Tours!

Wonderful tour! The caves are not to be missed-beautiful example of nature and the determination of man to explore it. Our driver and tour guide, Agenor, was the best—informative , kind, and accommodating to our requests. I recommend him highly.
