+ Scenery in valley was breathtaking. , comfortable coach & friendly staff. Puramarca was a nice little town with spectular views - no English guide.
I'm not one to write bad reviews, but our recent day trip with Nordic (Gray Line Argentina) to Humahuaca Valley from Salta was a bit of a nightmare. The trip started off under the shadow of local protests causing roadblocks in Jujuy. But, fair's fair, the tour operator did give us a choice to either reschedule, get a refund, or swap our trip with a Salinas tour. Given that our previous Salinas tour from another company was a no-show, we grabbed this chance. Sadly, that was the only good thing about this trip. The chaos began the day before our trip. Out of the blue, they changed our pickup point to somewhere three blocks from our hotel, between 6:50 to 7:20 a.m. Imagine our surprise when we got a call at 6:40 a.m. from our guide saying we were late! My Spanish isn't great, so there was a lot of confusion and frustration. Even after showing proof of the pickup time to an English-speaking manager, they just brushed it off, which was a real mood-killer. It got worse when we found out, just 10 hours before our trip, that the English-speaking guide we had booked was sick. With no other options on our last day in Salta, we were stuck with a Spanish-only tour. As you'd expect, we missed out on understanding the significance of the sites we visited. But what really got me was the guide's lack of basic help, like giving us directions or telling us how much free time we had at each stop. This was especially annoying in Purmamarca, where my pregnant wife and I had to find our own way to the pick-up point, different from where we were dropped off. As if things weren't bad enough, there was an unexpected expense in Purmamarca. The tour operator had our group board a taxi to meet our bus because of the roadblocks. And then they made us pay for it! It wasn't a big amount, but it should've been their responsibility. Despite the beautiful landscapes we saw, the poor organization and unprofessionalism spoiled the entire experience for us. I've been on many tours, and this was definitely one of my worst. I hope Nordic (Gray Line Argentina) takes this as constructive criticism and improves its services for the future.
Trip was cancelled at night the day before Unable to go on trip Too late to book replacement 2 wasted days as a result
Dear Joseph, we checked your case. You bought the tour the day before the tour starts. We didnt have the availibility and offered you to take it next day. You response was that you didnt have availibility for the next day. We send you the total refund of the activity. We recommend planning your trip in advance. We really sorry for your bad experience!

This was a beautiful day away from the city. The scenery was spectacular...well worth the time it took to get there. The villages were also a treat. It was a nice pace, lots of walking but in short spurts. Would definitely recommend this tour.
