Um local de peregrinação sagrado por 22 séculos, este mosteiro de caverna, com seus cinco santuários, é o maior e mais bem preservado complexo de cavernas e templos do Sri Lanka. As pinturas murais budistas (cobrindo uma área de 2.100 m2 ) são de particular importância, assim como as 157 estátuas.
Perto da estrada principal que atravessa Matale, o templo hindu Muthumariamman é uma estrutura alta e exuberantemente decorada que pode ser facilmente vista de longe. As torres proeminentes, chamadas Gopurams, possuem centenas de esculturas detalhadas, em um rico mosaico de cores. Essas estruturas de Gopurams podem ser vistas em outros templos hindus em toda a ilha, bem como no sul da Índia.

What an amazing guide Irfan is. We had a fantastic time on his tuk tuk tour. He is very knowledgeable about Sri Lanka’s history and wildlife. He gave us lots of recommendations, including the best foods to eat during our stay. I 100% recommend Irfan to anybody wanting a fun and informative tour.

Our experience was way beyond our expectations. Guide Irfan was perfectly on time and drove very well and safely. He was very informative and his English excellent. Every part of the tour was first class. We saw over 40 elephants including babies and tusked males. Sigiriya rock was challenging but so rewarding. Bambulla Temple was also very interesting. Lunch was delicious local food. I’m looking for something I didn’t like but am unable. Also the guides for each sight were terrific, particularly the elephant park guide as he was so successful at finding so many wonderful animals.

Ifran picked us up as planned in a clean, comfy car. Knowledgeable, Ifran shared local knowledge on the journey and at the different sites. He always checked if we needed anything or want to stop at other locations. I highly recommend this trip and company.

The guide, IRFAN, was very courteous and enthusiastic and very helpful in understanding English. I was tired after climbing Sigiriya Rock, so it was great to be able to skip places to go according to our request and be flexible! There are many places to go and the time is just in time, so you need to be physically strong enough to climb Sigiriya Rock crisply. It's better to find out how much cash you need before you go, as admission is not included.
Highly recommend Irfan and this tour. He was punctual, friendly, respectful and very informative with teaching us about Sri Lankan culture, religion and various cites on the way to each site. Thoroughly enjoyed Lion Rock, Dambulla Cave Temples and the Spice Garden (amazing). A must see when in Kandy
