A good, informative and nice tour. Unfortunately, we were unable to take the boat back to Budapest from Szentendre due to the Danube being low but the company compensated us with a lovely river cruise in Budapest which we were very happy with. Food at the restaurant was fantastic as well. A couple things to note...if you have dietary issues, make sure you let the tour operator know ahead of time. I was given no options to let them know so be proactive and contact them yourself. Also, we had virtually no air conditioning in the tour van as it had broken down. We basically has SOME fan air and air from the windows and that's about it. Some elderly tourists were struggling with the heat because of it. All in all, a lovely tour nonetheless.
We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and appreciated the complimentary river cruise as well. We also appreciate your feedback. Your comments are valuable and will help us improve our service. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on another tour in the future!
Claire was a very good tour guide. My only suggestion is to spend less time on lunch and more time on the final town.
I had a great day on the Danube Bend tour. It was a somewhat large group, with both Italian and English spoken, but our guide was impressive at speaking both fluently. The stop in Esztergom was great, even on Easter Sunday. I really appreciated the time to walk around on our own (or to stick with the guide if you wanted!). And I loved the quick stop over in Slovakia, with a view of Esztergom over the Danube. I wish we’d been able to tour the castle in Visegrad, but I think it might’ve been closed because of the holiday. Lunch at the top was still nice, especially the view. Szentendre was unsurprisingly busy, but we had free range to roam about on our own, so I loved my time walking up through the quiet, hilly residential parts of town. Lovely architecture, gardening, and cats! In all, I felt like I got a great “slice” of different parts of the Danube Bend area. It was also a nice diversion from doing things in Budapest; it broke my trip up nicely.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review. We're very happy that you enjoyed your sightseeing experience with us.
