Cut time short at first stop, the castle. We arrived at 10:31, and told to be back at 11:10 only 39 minutes due to the Spanish tour guide cutting it short as she was also in charge of us, the English guided tour...when asked why we where told because she was not guiding her group up the stairs to show and guide the upstairs area, apparently could not deal with stairs....ya you are a guide and incapable of guiding you need to find another job, maybe a librarian. So us, the English group, rushed back at 11:10 and guess what, the Spanish guide and her group not there! Came trotting up at 11:15... At the Cathedral stop we where told we are not doing the treasury and balcony areas, no time, then ushered out side to once again look at the river and told we had 15/20 minutes outside on our own! Why not see the treasury? We had to sneak back in through the exit to go see the treasury on our own, crazy stuff, can not explain why the guides just sat in one spot in the church chatting away about everything and never walked anyone around... Now the "lunch stop", once again the English group(us) was there waiting at a closed up bus at the designated meeting time and no one in sight.... So about 10 minutes LATE the guides, bus driver, and the Spanish group stroll up like nothing......turned into a big waste of time that we could have spent more at the first 2 stops! The "artist" village has maybe 2 or 3 true artist shops and all wall to wall cheap souvenir shops, nothing to write home about! Buildings are not anything special, simply not worth visiting. While not the excursion fault, this is just a tourist trap and nothing else. Overall do not recommend this excursion at all, certainly not with these guides. While our guide Christina was very pleasant and full of history and information, pretty well talked non stop, some critical and usual information explaining the days itinerary specifics, toilet stops, and prepare for arrival at a stop was never given. Rent a car for a day and go see the castle/cathedral if u want to see those, but frankly there are better day trips, especially if time limited, like Bled.....
Good 3-village excursion in the Danube Bend in the area near Budapest and crossing into Slovakia. We were a family of 4; we liked it, our Hungarian guide Vera was very kind, with a passion for her work and she gave us interesting explanations to learn a little about Hungary.
Maximo was great, he’s very knowledgeable and made the whole experience really interesting and nice. He speaks perfect Spanish and English so we were able to truly enjoy the whole tour and get some very useful tips and interesting facts about Hungary past and present. Would definitely recommend it as a great full day of fun. The castle, basilica and towns are beautiful.
Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Maximo’s knowledge and bilingual guidance made the day so enjoyable and interesting. It’s great to know you loved the beautiful sights and towns along the way. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again soon!
Great tour to hit all points of interest, for short period of time great for first fimers6
Thank you very much for your kind feedback! We’re glad you found the tour a great way to discover Budapest’s main sights in a short time, especially for a first visit. We hope to welcome you again soon!
We have booked a two week holiday in 4 different countries (Central and Eastern Europe) and this was our favourite activity of the trip! Our guide Balázs was engaging, informative and funny (in at least 3 languages). Due to the weather, we couldn't go on the cruise back to Budapest, but this is out of their control and the bus is air conditioned and comfy. For the money, this trip is well worth it, even without the cruise. The three locations are magnificent in their own way and the guide provides an incredible amount of information in each. 10/10, a must if you want to see some other parts of Hungary besides Budapest!
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback and 10/10 rating! We’re thrilled that our Danube Bend tour was your favourite activity of your entire holiday. It’s fantastic to hear that Balázs made the day so engaging, informative, and enjoyable. Thank you also for your understanding regarding the cruise. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again in Hungary!
Pretty good and interesting tour. Unfortunately we haven't possibility to travel by boat via Danube because of lo water level. Rate 10/10 👍
Thank you very much for your fantastic feedback and the 10/10 rating! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour despite the low water level preventing the boat trip. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you again soon!
It’s a full day, but lots to see and do. Be prepared to walk and climb! You get to learn the history of the country
Thank you very much for your feedback! We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the full-day experience and appreciated learning more about Hungary’s history along the way. We hope to welcome you again on another tour soon!
Picky up on time from our hotel but we walked back to our hotel which was not too far away from the Intercontinentanl Hotel drop off! Yolanda was our guide throughout this tour, friendly, helpful and full of knowledge of all the places we visited along the route. Went across Slovakia briefly and returned via same bridge we cross and view the country from Hungary. Most possibly a land that once was part of Hungary before the first WW1 after the Treaty of Treanon? Lunch was up on a overlooking a ruin castle, and saw the Danube Bend on the way down. Definitely a trip to recommend.
Thank you very much for your detailed and kind feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Yolanda made the tour enjoyable with her friendliness and knowledge, and that you appreciated the scenery, the Danube Bend, and the lunch stop. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future!
Kristina was a fantastic guide. We learned a huge amount about Hungary and Budapest
Thank you very much for your kind feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Kristina made the tour so informative and that you learned so much about Budapest and Hungary. We hope to welcome you again soon!
Everything was wondetful. Our guíde was excellent, knowledgable and relaxed. The only thing I would change was the meal. It would be better to have the option to go away on our own for lunch instead of us all having lunch together. The logistics of trying to cater for a large group means the experience was the one negative of the day.
Thank you for your kind feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the tour and that your guide made the experience so memorable. We also appreciate your suggestion regarding lunch arrangements. Feedback like yours is very valuable, and we will share it with our team for consideration. We hope to welcome you again soon!
