It was a beautiful & educational adventure! Our guide Warner was A++!
This tour was such an amazing experience! Not only were the mangroves incredible to explore, our guide and captain were so great at spotting animals for us to admire - I still can't believe some of the things they saw (tiny bats! a lizard way back in the trees!)! The best part by far was getting to sit at the edge of the mangroves and watch a troupe of Capuchin monkeys - they didn't care at all that we were there so we got to sit right next to them as they played and rubbed rotten coconut all over themselves (so weird and funny!). We also loved learning more about the mangroves themselves from our guide, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the plants and animals in the area. While kayaking looks fun too, this is an excellent option if you want a more relaxed tour of the mangroves or if you have any mobility issues or have anyone with you who can't or would rather not kayak. This tour included lunch at a small local restaurant which offered a few options for both the main course and the sides, making it easy for everyone to find something they enjoyed eating. I also want to mention how easy this was to arrange and that the drivers picked us up right on time at our hotel and dropped us off after - great for people who don't have their own transportation!
This boat trip was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica, maybe the highlight. Our guide, Joseph, was excellent - extremely knowledgeable and witty, he looked after our small group - there were only five of us - very well. He was able to talk about all aspects of the mangrove environment - the trees and plants, the animals, the birds, the insects and even the crabs. A highlight was seeing capuchin monkeys, but everything was interesting, even the roosting proboscis bats. Thank you, Joseph.
Tour with Brenda was amazing! She shared so much information with us. We were able to see so many different types of wildlife. I would highly recommend this tour!

A beautiful afternoon in this boat driven by Jenny and commented by Alvin. Beautiful birds, Capuchin monkeys, crabs, a marsupial... in the mangrove.

Alvin was terrific guide and the mangrove boat experience was very enjoyable especially after the crowds we encountered at Manuel Antonio park. This boat tour was a peaceful respite where we saw lots of wildlife.
“We’re really grateful and appreciate you taking the time to share your rating with us.
Kenneth was a wonderful tour guide. Helped us to spot and learn about so many animals, and was very patient with stopping to take as many photos as we wanted. We saw herons, iguanas, Jesus Christ lizards, snakes, monkies, bats, and even jumping spiders. A great experience.
We really enjoyed the boat ride. Jeremy was our guide and he made it terrific. We have been on a mangrove tour in the Galapagos and learned a lot more from Jeremy. He expertly explained the ecosystem and identified a variety of birds. However this particular time of year is not the best for birding since a lot of the migratory birds have already left. The boat captain spotted several iguanas and a rarely seen Pygmy Anteater, the smallest one in the world. It’s amaziNguyen that he found him since he only weights 1 lb.
Amazing to see so many birds and animals! The mangrove forest is so special, it was really cool to see how nature adapts. We saw the endangered, super rare Silky Anteater too. It was so cute. Our guide, Brenda, was so kind, so helpful. She was our guide for another tour, and we requested her for this tour also. Definitely recommend any tour with her.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are thrilled to hear that you loved your experience with us. Your kind words mean a lot to our team!
