Nosso cruzeiro é único, pois operamos na diversificada Baía de Algoa, rica em vida selvagem e história. Visitando a ilha de St Croix, lar de metade dos mundos remanescentes de pinguins africanos em perigo. Este passeio é realizado apenas uma vez por dia, em vez de tentar fazer vários cruzeiros em um dia. Isso garante que nossos skippers e guias estejam atualizados e alertas a cada cruzeiro e possibilita que você gaste mais tempo e esforço pesquisando a vida selvagem em nossa Baía ou observando algo especial que encontramos, desde que ninguém a bordo tenha pressa para conseguir de volta para um voo ou reservas feitas anteriormente. Nosso foco principal é a educação, conservação e assistência em pesquisas que são possíveis graças aos fundos gerados pelos nossos Eco-cruzeiros marítimos na Baía de Algoa. Árvores são plantadas para equilibrar nossa pegada de carbono para cada cruzeiro realizado. Usamos barcos menores para manter nossos cruzeiros pessoais. Nossos capitães e guias são muito conhecedores e estão lá para responder a quaisquer perguntas e atender às necessidades de nossos hóspedes.

Itinerário
Encontramo-nos com nossos hóspedes às 8h e depois de um breve briefing antes de sairmos para a bela Algoa Bay, em PE, em nosso catamarã bimotor. A temporada das baleias começa em junho, quando vemos as baleias jubarte se movendo ao longo da costa enquanto se dirigem para a costa leste da África em direção a seus locais de reprodução. As baleias jubarte podem ser vistas na Baía de Algoa de junho ao início de dezembro. Eles fazem sua viagem de volta a partir de outubro, fêmeas com bezerros a reboque. As baleias francas do sul podem ser vistas perto da costa de julho a setembro.
Os golfinhos nariz-de-garrafa do Indo-pacífico são os golfinhos mais observados na baía e podem ser vistos durante todo o ano, em grupos de 10 a 400. Esses golfinhos brincalhões são encontrados principalmente em águas rasas, perto das praias ou ao redor da ilha de St Croix, e tendem a chegar até o barco e andar nas ondas da proa. Os golfinhos comuns também são uma visão espetacular, pois são vistos em grupos de 1000-2000, nadando em grandes velocidades. Estes golfinhos são frequentemente vistos durante todo o ano mais longe no mar, especialmente nos passeios pelas ilhas das aves, pois seguem grandes cardumes de iscas que passam pela baía. Também encontramos golfinhos jubarte na Baía de Algoa, que geralmente ocorrem em grupos muito menores, entre 1 e 20, e são mais comumente vistos durante os meses de verão.
A ilha de St. Croix é o lar de 12.000 pinguins africanos ameaçados de extinção, a maior colônia de reprodução encontrada na África (embora tenhamos perdido 70% em 10 anos). É aqui que você terá um encontro de perto com esses pássaros cômicos. A época de reprodução do pinguim africano atinge seu pico entre março e maio, quando você pode ver os filhotes do barco. Assim como os pinguins africanos, tanto St. Croix quanto a ilha de Brenton são habitados pela ostra negra africana ameaçada de extinção, biguás-de-peito-branco e biguás-do-cabo. O grupo St. Croix Island, juntamente com o grupo Bird Island, tornou-se parte do Parque Nacional Addo Elephant, permitindo que guardas florestais patrulhassem as ilhas para ajudar nos esforços de conservação para proteger a população de pinguins africanos. Como são Áreas Marinhas Protegidas, por favor, note que você não tem permissão para ir para as ilhas.
Ao lado dos animais acima mencionados, você tem a oportunidade de avistar biguás-de-peito-branco, biguás-do-cabo, baleias-de-bryde, baleias-anãs, focas-do-cabo, várias espécies de tubarões, gansos-do-cabo e várias espécies de aves pelágicas, incluindo andorinhas, petréis , skuas, cagarras e albatrozes.

The experience was very cool, we saw whales jumping which is what I was looking to see, dolphins, seals, and penguins,
Beautiful experience, absolutely recommended, we were there in August and we saw many animals such as dolphins, whales, seals, penguins and numerous varieties of birds. The guides are knowledgeable and very helpful
Genuinely enjoyed the experience, storytelling, atmosphere and of course, views. The tour stretched for another hour, because we spotted an ‘acrobatic’ performance by a whale and the guides just made sure that the visitors gained the most out of the experience. Thank you!!

An amazing experience! We were on the boat "My Bru" with skipper Lloyd and Keith. Both were fantastic humans, with lots of knowledge of Algoa bay and its marine life. We say lots of marine life including 2 species of dolphins and wales, penguins and seals! If you need convincing this is your sign to do it!

Definitely a must-experience, at least once in your life. I was lucky to have a voucher for 2 people for the trip. The whole cruise lasted longer than planned since we were trying to locate whales for a while and they popped up at some point unexpectedly. We had a small crowd according to the guides, and the staff were excellent on our tour. Lots of fun facts and they made sure we all got the most out of our experience. The waves were wilder than expected the further we got out to sea and sea-sickness was a struggle for most of the trip. It felt like a rollercoaster, especially for us first-timers on a boat. Definitely wear something that is water proof and warm if you can. Comfortable shoes and a rain jacket is advised!
Ahh - so happy you enjoyed all even though you got a little seasick and wet. Sounds like it was worth it and thank you for the tips - we will be sure to add a bit more info to our booking confirmation as to what to bring and advise about seasick medication to help make the ride more comfortable.
The atmosphere on the cruize was next level. Our skipper and crew know the environment, hence we got to see the dolphins, whales, seals and pinguins within a distance of +/- 15 to 20 m. How amszing is that. The crowd size was perfect. The 5 hours on the trip was my best 5 hours ever spent out in nature. The admission fee is reasonable and the timing to serve the snack was excellent. If you haven't been on the boat with Keith as your skipper, then please don't delay, the time is now.

An amazing day! Only 5 customers on the boat. Crew was friendly and knowledgeable. My family really appreciated that the business is very focused towards conservation. We saw ganets, cape fur seals, common dolphins, bottle nose dolphins, humpback whales, brides whales, penguins and 2 great white sharks. One of the sharks hung around the boat for a good hour. Of course, the sharks were the highlight but we loved the show the common dolphins put on as well.

What an amazing trip, the knowledgeable guides gave us detailed explanations of what marine life we encountered and kept us safe on the boat! We never felt seasick and had a very comfortable trip. We managed to see whales, dolphins, penguins and seals.
