Wonderful experience, that includes delicious lunch finger foods and tea. The skippers provided wonderful information.
After the hustle & bustle of our sightseeing tour it was nice to take a day off and relax on the river . We had tea , little sandwiches, scones & sweet cakes while we went down the river & our guide told us local stories & history of the area . Perfect afternoon!
Had a lovely afternoon on the Thames - helped cool us off during the heat wave. A lively debate with our table mates about cream first or jam first on your scone (which were delicious). Max was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide. Overall a great way to spend the afternoon
Superb afternoon. Great food, beautiful boat ride, fantastic guide Joe,- very knowledgable, friendly.
It was a great experience on a sunny afternoon. Good food and very interesting guide about a lot of historical events. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in history and relaxing afternoon.
We had an incredible afternoon tea boat cruise and loved every minute! The afternoon tea was delicious, and the scones were definitely the standout treat. Henry, our skipper, was lovely, a real hidden gem! He made the trip so much fun and even treated us to a rendition of The Bare Necessities. With music playing and everyone on the gondolas joining in, dancing and singing, the atmosphere was fantastic. It was such a relaxing, joyful afternoon, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. We will be booking this again yearly 😊 Thank you, Henry, for making it so memorable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this so much I did it twice! They’re not able to do as much in the route as when I did this several years ago, but it was still fun and I highly recommend it for those who are looking for activities in Oxford. The tea foods are delightful, the people friendly and helpful, the guide courteous and a good guide. There is a lot of Alice information possible, which the second guide didn’t get in to, and that was something I wanted to reinforce what I heard my first trip. Still, a worthy afternoon activity. Highly recommend.
My mother and I recently enjoyed an afternoon tea cruise, which was overall a pleasant and relaxing experience. Unfortunately, our visit did not start well, as the staff at check-in were unhelpful and seemed unwilling to assist us. It would have been convenient to enjoy a drink at The Folly while waiting for the boat, but this was not possible, so we visited the pub across the road instead. Upon our return, we were very pleased to meet other members of staff who were friendly, attentive, and extremely helpful. They went out of their way to assist my disabled mother in boarding the boat, which was greatly appreciated. The boat itself was beautifully presented, with the tables attractively set for afternoon tea. The tea selection was lovely; however, some of the sandwiches were slightly crusty, which suggested they had been prepared some time earlier. This was a little disappointing. The cruise itself was peaceful and relaxing, providing a wonderful opportunity to enjoy afternoon tea while listening to the knowledgeable skipper's commentary along the way. I would recommend the experience overall. However, visitors should be aware that The Folly is an older pub, and accessibility for disabled guests can be challenging due to the nature of the building. Despite this, the helpful staff we encountered later in the visit made a significant difference to our experience.
A very pleasant experience - with an excellent guide - Mark.
A great and fun experience. Joe was a great guide and shared a lot of his personal experience in the area!
