Some of the reviews regarding the food, has us hesitant in the value of it all. We are Europeans. We love our food. The buffet was generous and plenty of. Many other guests (not from our table) went up for seconds and there was still plenty left. It is a deconstructed menu buffet. The deserts were delish. We sat inside, which was great as the winds outside would have driven me crazy. We got to walk freely outside though for beautiful sunset photos. Staff were wonderful. A lovely relaxed dining experience.
This was a lovely way to see the sun setting, but very crowded. Service and staff wonderful. I think top deck the best for views and being able to walk around. Just remember hat as it is very, very hot waiting up the top for the tour to start. Had an individual seafood plate, which was very nice.
Relaxing trip watching the sun set on the ocean whilst being served drinks and a nice buffet meal. Staff are very friendly too
A lovely evening with a generous buffet meal. Lovely to be at sea and view the sunset. Tables were spaced nicely and the cruise was a lovely way to see Darwin at sunset.
It was a very pleasant experience. We were unfortunate to have very nice couple beside us. The food was very fresh but not that exciting
Easy to book through Top end Darwin visitor centre. $149 per person. Boat was 3/4 full. No commentary about Darwin which were disappointed in. It’s dinner on a boat. Noisy if have the banquet. Can go outside or upstairs to get away from noise and take photos. The banquet dinner is downstairs. Enclosed. I would recommend the grazing plattters as in open air section up stairs. Alcohol at top prices for sale on board.
It is worth doing, great food, well organised. Helpful, friendly staff. Great pics of sunset. Would probably have been nice to have rough commentary on the way as to what we were passing. Great trip....A MUST DO!!!!
The food and service were genuinely great, and the staff were lovely. However, the overall experience didn’t quite match the expectation of a scenic dinner cruise. At the end of the day, it felt like having nice food on a boat — something you could easily enjoy at many Darwin restaurants with even better views. Dinner seating was downstairs, which meant limited visibility, and although you can walk around for a look, it’s not ideal when you’re weaving between tables of people trying to enjoy their meal. A pleasant night, but not the standout Darwin experience I expected.
If a ‘luxury’ dinner involves being crammed in like sardines with an outrageous volume level where you can’t communicate to the person sitting opposite you and only to be told to queue for a buffet - well that is not luxury and unacceptable.
Lovely ambiance, food was delicious, friendly staff, overall a great experience , would recommend the dinner cruise.
