A really nice experience all round, chef adhey helped us feel at home and totally comfortable learning some of her craft in an extension of her home with family there. Nice little touches and tips from her and Enrique her husband
Fantastic experience! Feeled us like a big family around the oven. Learned to make several traditional dishes, which guaranteed must be recreated when we get home! Will gladly come back here! Adhey and Enrique are incredibly hospitable and photo.
Wondeful experience, highly recommended. Adhey and Enrique welcomed us into their home and made us feel as part of their family. We got to make savoury traditional Oaxacan food.
What a wonderful experience. Adhey and Enrique make you feel t home from the moment you step into their beautiful kitchen. They truly make you feel like family. We learned much so much about the history of Oaxaca’s gastronomy. We ate, laughed and even danced. Everything was delicious and recipes were easy to follow. I highly recommend this class. We’ve done many cooking classes and I have to say this is the first one where we felt that we were cooking as a family bc this is the way adhey and her husband make you feel.
Chef Adhey and her husband welcomed me and another family into their home, and from the moment I stepped inside, I knew this wasn’t just a cooking class — it was an invitation into their world. Chef Adhey taught us like she would teach her own family, sharing her stories, her traditions, and the recipes passed down through generations. It reminded me so much of being in my grandmother’s kitchen — warm, comforting, full of love. We cooked, tasted, drank mezcal, laughed, and ate until we couldn’t eat anymore. I left feeling full, not just from the food, but from the connection, the culture, and the generosity she and her husband poured into every moment. I’m deeply grateful for this experience and would recommend it with my whole heart.
This cooking class was the best thing we did on our trip to Mexico. We had such an amazing evening with Chef Adhey and her family. It was very authentic and both the food and atmosphere was perfect. I can’t rate this experience enough! A must do activity in Oaxaca 🙌
From start to finish it was the best! The family is super friendly. The class was educational and the food was yummy. I was worried about bringing 12 year old but they were so inclusive and accommodating. Would do this cooking class again over and over again!
This was by far the best thing we done in Oaxaca. Adhey and Enrique made us feel so welcome as soon as we met them. The experience ran for around 5 hours and was so worth every penny. They were both so detailed in their stories and you can tell their passion for food and their culture. The food we made as a group was amazing. They ensured that everyone was involved and gave us great instruction as we went. While cooking we were provided with beers and mezcal. Following the cooking we all sat down to eat as a family. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Oaxaca, if you are a chef or just after a good time, you will not regret it.
This family is amazing. We had so much fun. We learned about traditions, food, and family. We had a 12 year old with us and they accommodated him perfectly, even as a picky eater he tried everything. It was a small group setting. They did the pick up and drop off. Took pictures and videos. Food was great. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Even their two sons came out to greet us with hugs. Such a great family.
Had a wonderful time at the class. It was a great experience, and learnt stuff that can replicate back home. You feel like you are part of a family. Definitely recommend the class.
