Às 8h50, nosso guia que fala inglês irá encontrá-lo em frente à porta de entrada principal do edifício Lyon Office de Tourisme, localizado na Praça Bellecour (50 m em frente ao Le Royal Hotel). Após uma curta caminhada, os participantes embarcarão na minivan de 8 lugares para iniciar o passeio pelo vinho Cotes du Rhone.
Comece esta excursão vinícola de dia inteiro na cidade de Vienne com um panorama deslumbrante do vale do Ródano a partir do Monte Notre Dame de Pipet. Com o seu guia, seja apresentado às diferentes variedades de uvas da Côtes du Rhone do Norte, às denominações de vinhos crus e à filosofia da região baseada no "terroir". Reserve um tempo também para admirar o espetacular antigo teatro romano enquanto seu guia fala sobre a fascinante história dos vinhos de Vienne que eram famosos em Roma, há 21 séculos.
Atravesse a cidade de Ampuis, a capital mundial de Syrah e visite os vinhedos "Cote Rotie" literalmente "encosta assada". Dirija na vertigem íngreme que induz as encostas em terraços de "Cote Brune" e "Cote Blonde" e aprecie as colinas de ângulos de 30 a 60 graus banhadas pelo sol de frente para o belo rio Rhône.
Às 10h45, visite uma primeira vinícola e aprenda alguns segredos sobre o savoir-faire vitivinícola do Ródano. Caminhe pela sala das barricas e fale sobre a arte de envelhecer o vinho. Em seguida, vá para a sala de degustação de vinhos e prove 3 vinhos brancos e 3 tintos, incluindo Condrieu, branco e tinto St Joseph e Cote Rotie famosa denominação.
Delicie-se com uma deliciosa refeição num restaurante local que serve cozinha Cotes du Rhone. Nosso guia terá prazer em traduzir e explicar todos os diferentes cursos para você! Menus a partir de 20€ durante a semana (especial do dia) e 25€ aos fins-de-semana. O almoço NÃO está incluído.
No início da tarde, atravesse Condrieu, cidade natal da uva Viognier que produz o mundialmente famoso vinho branco. O grupo vai conhecer a sua história única, como esta casta quase morreu há alguns anos. Em seguida, empurre a porta de uma vinícola familiar e prove de 5 a 6 vinhos Cotes du Rhone diferentes, entre eles, as denominações Condrieu, St Joseph e/ou Cote Rotie.
Finalmente, pare em uma terceira vinícola para se deliciar com outros 5 belos vinhos do Ródano: aproveite o intenso aromático Viognier e a quase absoluta perfeição da uva Syrah da Côtes do Ródano do Norte em seu terroir original.
Às 17h15, nosso guia o deixará na Praça Bellecour, em frente ao Lyon Office de Tourisme. A excursão perfeita para os amantes de syrah e viognier!

We booked a wine excursion to explore the Rhone Valley wines. Sébastien collected our small group from our hotel and took us for a day’s adventure. We visited three wineries and tasted 4-6 different wines at each. It was very interesting for us because we have had little experience with the wines of this region. We were delighted with some of them and will look to purchase some bottles when we return home. Sébastien took us to a wonderful restaurant on the river for lunch. Throughout the day we peppered him with questions about the wines of the region, French language and culture and many other topics. Since he comes from a family with several generations of wine makers he is deeply knowledgeable. We all thought that he was an excellent host and guide. We are now thinking perhaps of coming to Beaujolais for a day of wine tasting on our next trip. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful day with Olivier learning all about Northern Cote du Rhône wines and the different AOC. We tasted some amazing reds and whites and visited some unique vineyards. The Cote Rotie area was exceptionally beautiful. Olivier was a great guide explaining the region and the various varietals in an easy to learn way. The day was well organized with a delicious stop for lunch midday. I have been on a few wine tours in different regions and would highly recommend this tour, it was the perfect balance of education and enjoyment! Dont hesitate to book this if you are considering it! Oliver was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. We learnt a lot from him about the wines and the area. We went to 3 very different wineries and had a lovely lunch along the Rhone river, The Mercedes van was very comfortable for 8 people.

Olivier does a wonderful bilingual tour of the Côtes du Rhône. He picked us up in his comfortable Mercedes Vito van and took us and a French family for a spectacular overview of the valley from the ancient Roman town of Vienne. Over the day, we visited three small family owned wineries and had lunch at Les Epicurieux in Ampuis. It was a perfect day. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our experience and all the wines we sampled. Olivier was an incredible host. We spent two days with him. Highly recommend this experience. 10 out of 10. For sure. We purchased wine from almost every single stop and all was delivered quickly. Loved all of it. The stop for lunch on the first day was awesome.

If you’re looking for a fun day of wineries, this is the tour for you. We went to three different wineries. All very different. Tasted 19 wines. Had an amazing lunch. Oliver, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our day. Highly recommend.
