Costa Amalfitana Excursão de barco particular de Positano

Our hotel booked our private boat trip along the Amalfi Coast for the duration of four hours. The cost was €400 but when we got to the boat rental hut we were told that because it was windy it was best if we had a bigger boat but the cost would be €300 extra. As we were never going to do this again we decided we would go with it and pay the extra. When we were out at sea we saw other boats that were smaller than ours coping perfectly well with the waves. We were then not sure if the smaller boat was not available or whether it was just an excuse to make more money. The boat trip itself was well worth it as the views were spectacular but the beverages on board were only beer and water and for the price we paid we expected wine as well along with soft drinks.

On the advice of the hotel where we were staying we took part in the small group boat trip from Positano to Capri. There were seven of us on a boat big enough even if we had been more. Very nice and very kind and also helpful Pacific who led the boat during the trip. Experience recommended.

In comparison to most reviews here, our experience was great! We decided to book this 5 hour boat excursion last minute as Positano was so crowded the day we visited and this boat trip ended up being one of the highlights of our entire vacation. Our captain was Danilo and he was awesome especially with my mom who was terrified of being on the water.. he was really friendly and accommodating with all of us and definitely knew his way around the coast. He stopped and anchored a few times and we got to swim in beautiful spots around the Coast.. I would definitely recommend to do this as a private tour as u really get to see the coast in its beauty.. and of course ask for Danilo😉!

First, if you visit the Amalfi Coast and don't take a boat tour, you miss half of it! Full day. It was all about us. The itinerary was ours. Stop here? Swim in a cave, go to a beach, I need another angle for this Pic. Drop us off here, pick us up when we text. *Definitely Eat at La Tonnarella* I wanted to rent a small boat to explore on our own. I was told the day before it was unavailable. We were upgraded to a boat with Captain at no additional charge. My disappointment changed immediately. As a boater / sailer I was very impressed with Captain Fracesco's skills. He is a highly experienced Captain with a great personality and a true passion for sharing his home with guests. He made the experience so much better by telling us about the different cities and points of interest along the way.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BOAT BROKE DOWN 15 MINUTES FROM PICK UP. COMPANY BLAMED ME- A VERY EXPERIENCED BOATER. Chose the “Boat without Captain” option. On a half day EUR 350 option. Boat stalled and died 15 minutes into a 4.5 hour rental. After 25 min wait, Repairman got boat running again - he disconnected electrical, flushed the fuel pump and primed with fuel. My instructions were clear when renting- call company if a malfunction. Do not attempt on my own. Repairman assured me boat was fixed. Repairman returned to dock. After he left Boat stalled and died three more times. Copying his repair I was able to limp the boat back to the dock. I requested a do-over for the next day as we were able to use the boat for about 15 minutes. I was told explicitly that the boat was now “fixed” and the malfunction was my fault. After much haggling and blame directing toward me, I negotiated 100 Euro refund of the EUR 350 cost. So a lovely 15 minutes on the boat for EUR 250.

In Positano for our honeymoon. Unfortunately all three days we are here the weather is not great. We showed up for our scheduled time and got on the boat. Dispute the rocky water and rain we were happy to get on and make the best of it. Upon checking in and paying our remaining balance, they did not notify us that we would be unable to swim or stop in Amalfi town. After 1.5 hours of rocking on the bumpiest waves of all time and going extremely slow due to the weather we get to the town of Amalfi. After trying to dock, our driver stated we were unable to as it was not safe to do so. We were excited to explore the town of Amalfi and were unable to. He had to bring us home 2 hours early. We understand the no cancellation policy, however the website states that if the customer decides to return they are not eligible for a refund. We did NOT decide to return early, we wanted to do the tour including Amalfi and was told it was too dangerous. We were told this via google translate via our drivers phone since he did not speak any English. Which the site says the driver speaks English. Driver was very nice but English speaking was a significant overstatement. This company was UNABLE to fill their part of the contract and still refuse to issue a partial refund. Save your money and book elsewhere. If you do decide to book, confirm that your boat will be able to stop anywhere before paying the remaining amount.

the visit was spectacular, beautiful place, full of fantastic people, beautiful things and lots of fun. I had a different but beautiful day.

We had the absolute best time. The boat was a perfect size for a private ride and we had a very knowledgeable driver. He dropped us for lunch and to enjoy the town of Nerano for a few hours. Couldn’t recommend this enough!

Unfortunately our private boat shade cloth was broken and ripped. We had a bit of shade but 1/2 of the cloth towards the back of the boat was ripped and unable to be used. Also it was impossible to anchor the boat as it kept moving and moving. We paid a ton of money for a hot and lackluster experience. Please fix the shade cloth and make the anchor so it will stay put. Thank you.

We had an amazing trip and our guide/driver Giuseppe was amazing! Very knowledgeable about the coast and made sure we had a great time! Would definitely recommend to a friend!
