We had the best time and the best guide!! Felipe did an amazing job spotting all the wildlife!
This rafting experience with Jose and Jason was fabulous. Their sharp eyes and knowledge helped us see and learn a lot. Thanks to them we saw many different bird species, monkeys and crocodiles. We would return if we could!
After a thrilling whitewater trip with this company on Friday, we decided to return over the weekend for their slower-paced safari rafting trip. It was the perfect decision. The guided trip departed from the restaurant boat launch following a clear and professional safety briefing. Our guide, Jorge, was exceptional. He had a great sense of humor and provided a steady feed of information about the local ecosystem. Thanks to his sharp eyes and expertise, we saw an incredible array of wildlife: howler monkeys, crocodiles, an anteater, long-nose bats, iguanas, and various birds like cattle egrets, tiger herons, and fish eagles. We even saw the famous "Jesus Christ" lizards (basilisks). Jorge also took the time to identify different trees and flora along the riverbanks, which added so much to the experience. A light snack of fruit and water was provided during the float, followed by an exceptional traditional local lunch at the restaurant afterward. The float itself took about two hours, with the entire experience—including the return drive and lunch—clocking in at around three hours. If you want a more relaxing but equally "exceptional" way to see Costa Rica’s wildlife, this is it!
Thank you so much, there is no bigger compliment than having guests returning to experience a different activity. We are glad that Jorge helped you spot all kinds of wildlife. He'll be delighted to read your comment about his guidance. Is fantastic to know you enjoyed the relaxing pace of the Safari floating too; it is a different experience from rafting. Thank you for the wonderful review, for choosing us a second time, and for making us part of your Costa Rican itinerary.
