I toured with Charles, wanted to give a shoutout and thank you for his commitment to finish in the rain. Thanks Charles! Appreciated it, you showed nice hospitality. As a tour guide, think he did great and hope the tip helps with rent. We’ll have differences (I am from Missouri, and we’ll view the world a little different), but he was a good worker and tried to make everyone feel welcome. I especially liked his information about the current affairs of the financial district (local rents was interesting) the discussion on why we didn’t use metric system, the competition with the Wall Street building & the Chrysler building and the discussion about the Roosevelts and J.P. Morgan. Also liked the civil rights discussion and New York State view of the growth of the city and country - that tidbit about passing London population during the roaring 20s was interesting. Also really liked that part about the founding fathers and the garden too. And the Hamilton/Jefferson discussion was good too, plus it’s a good plug for the show too :) . I knew some, but learned more too, thank you. To be respectful and constructive though, a couple things I might do different: 1) we all can agree on the 1st amendment and freedom of religion - and I’ll have a different personal faith than most around here, respectively - if you want to share about the Greek Gods faith, that’s perfectly fine, but I might try and use the word “faith” or “religion” instead of assuming fact, especially in a global crowd - and I would accept that for my own faith too. 2) Appreciated learning about the bull and girl statues, interesting meaning for both - I’m open for letting all compete, but if you’re going to advertise for one, you should do the same for the other too just to be respectful. Could be a hot button around here too though. I understand that the tours may not be able to do everything - but if they could work something out to go inside the NYSE just to see, it’d be cool too - probably a higher up decision though. All in all, thank you from Mizzou. - Andrew
