No século XIX, a praça dedicada ao conde Camillo Benso de Cavour não existia; em seu lugar, havia um porto agora enterrado. No início, a praça era caracterizada por butiques e galerias, os edifícios que podemos ver hoje foram construídos ao longo dos anos. Em pouco tempo, a Piazza Cavour se tornou um verdadeiro "salão da cidade". No final de 1800, no centro da praça, uma fonte foi construída e depois foi instalada no Bronx Park, em Nova York. No início do século XX, três canteiros de flores (ainda presentes) foram colocados nas laterais da praça. Os trilhos da linha de bonde foram construídos e posteriormente substituídos por uma estrada. Por volta da década de 1950, era usado como um estacionamento. No final dos anos 90, dez jatos de água instalados no canteiro do norte constituíram a última contribuição arquitetônica para o local. A praça pode inundar devido à sua construção no lago.
O Teatro Sociale, teatro de Como, projetado pelo arquiteto Giuseppe Cusi, foi construído em 1811 usando a estrutura existente de um antigo castelo (ainda podemos ver as paredes originais até hoje). O primeiro show aconteceu em 1813 e hoje em dia você pode assistir a apresentações de teatro, mas também é um bom lugar para organizar cerimônias, casamentos e eventos de negócios.
A catedral, localizada perto do Lago di Como, é um dos edifícios mais importantes da região. Foi construído durante diferentes períodos históricos e, portanto, podemos encontrar o estilo gótico, renascentista e barroco. Dentro da catedral, podemos encontrar os sarcófagos dos Bispos Avvocati e Bonifacio da Modena.
A Basílica de San Fedele em Como está localizada no centro da cidade e é dedicada ao mártir de São Fidelis. Deriva de uma igreja cristã anterior, datada do século VII, dedicada a Eufémia.
Porta Torre (também conhecida como Torre di Porta Vittoria é uma torre fortificada principal localizada na cidade de Como, na Lombardia (norte da Itália). Tem 40 metros de altura e foi construída em 1192, para defender a entrada principal da cidade.

Disgusting the tour guide operator didn’t turn up! Ruined our whole Como experience! Still waiting for a company representative to contact me! The number they provide is not in service!!!!!!
We are sorry that you were disappointed with your experience. However, we must clarify that our guide was at the meeting point at the scheduled time. We personally attempted to contact you several times using the phone number provided in the booking, and our guide did the same. Unfortunately, none of the calls were answered, and we never received a callback. We can provide screenshots of the outgoing calls as evidence. We always do our best to reach guests who are not present at the meeting point, and in this case multiple attempts were made to contact you without success. For this reason, we respectfully disagree with the statement that nobody showed up or tried to contact you.
This was a fun walking tour! Our guide knew so much about Como - there is so much more history here than we originally thought! Definitely worth the time and money for the tour, we learned so much and our guide had great recommendations for restaurants as well.
