Os guias da Zara Tours percorrem a Rota de Marangu, que é a rota mais fácil e curta para o cume de Kilimanjaro e é conhecida como a "Coca Cola" ou a rota "turística". Esta é a única rota no Kilimanjaro com o conforto de cabanas para dormir com energia solar e camas confortáveis em todos os campos. As cabanas são comuns, e cada beliche tem um colchão de esponja e travesseiro. Banheiros e água corrente estão disponíveis nas duas cabanas mais baixas. As latrinas básicas de homens e mulheres estão disponíveis no último acampamento. Todos os grupos de escalada, geralmente de vários países do mundo, compartilham refeições em cabanas de jantar, proporcionando uma atmosfera jovial e energética. Refrigerantes, água mineral e cerveja podem estar à venda nas cabanas. Traga notas pequenas da Tanzânia para comprar esses itens (os preços aumentam com a elevação). Essa rota geralmente é feita em 5 dias, mas você pode fazê-lo em 6 dias para melhor aclimatação. Você pode passar seu dia extra descansando em Horombo ou subindo a um acampamento abaixo do subpico Mawenzi de Kibo.

Fantastikisl experience. The climb was tougher than expected but still fully feasible. The Zara Tours team was exceptional and absolutely crucial for us to reach the top.

My dad and I had an unforgettable time climbing the Marangu Route with Yohana and his team! The Marangu is a tough climb, but they provided relentless support and took excellent care of us. Even when the altitude got the better of us and we had to turn back for health reasons, Yohana ensured our descent was safe, steady, and comfortable. Highly recommend booking your Kilimanjaro climb with Yohana—you won’t regret it!
My experience with Zara Tours is beyond words. In 1999, a medical mistake led to the amputation of my leg and severe nerve damage. After 17 years in a wheelchair, I finally received a prosthetic in 2016. Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and in 2018, I was finally strong enough to try. Finding the right organization felt impossible, until I met Mama Zara (Zainab Ansell). She didn’t see “disability”, she saw strength. She believes disability is not inability, according to her we are not handicapped but handi”capables” and because of her, I found my confidence, my purpose, and my dignity again. She changed my life, and the lives of so many others. Since then, I’ve climbed Kilimanjaro six times with Zara, with incredible people facing their own challenges, amputees, blind individuals, people with MS, deaf, people with brain injuries, cancer survivors, and more.. It was a great adventure with a very cool team. All was perfect regarding food, luggage and the time up there. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and am really looking forward to come back another time.
