I spent eight days in Jordan and after visiting Egypt for 18 days, it was a very nice change. The Jordanians are so welcoming and friendly.. This was a private tour for eight days. My Guide was Loay Nawafleh and his knowledge of the history of Jordan was amazing. He was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had in all my travels to 75 countries.. He was very accommodating and made this a very special experience.. I spent two days in Amman and we visited Jerash also.Loay and I walked for two hours through the most amazing Roman ruins I’ve ever seen. More than Italy, Turkey and Croatia and once again Loay’s knowledge was incredible. He knows everyone at every sight we visited and they know him. We stopped at Mount Nebo on the way to Petra where Loay grew up.. at this time of year. It was perfect. The weather was incredible. There were probably only 800 people the day we went to the archaeological site of Petra as opposed to eight or 9000 at their peak season.. it’s been on my bucket list for many years and I’ve looked at a lot of photos of it until you’re there and walk through the canyon to reach the treasury and all the other amazing royal tombs and the theater was beyond my expectations. I spent one night at Wadi Rum at Luxotel enjoyed the rock formations in a two hour 4x4 ride for checking in to these very spacious geodesic tents. The following day we drove to the Dead Sea and got to visit the Jordan River and the site were Jesus was baptized and also the cave of John the Baptist.. My Hotel was the Dead Sea resort and spa across from Jericho with amazing views! This has been one of the best tours I’ve ever done❤️

This is the first time I’ve been to the Middle East and I flew from Cairo today to Amman. This hotel impressed me by how I was greeted and their friendliness. I checked in at three and had laundry and dry cleaning to do and was concerned about getting it the next day and they had my room within two hours….. The hotel also upgraded my room at an extremely reasonable rate. They sent a beautiful dish of desserts, fruit and cake today. That was totally unexpected.. I’m very impressed with this hotel and this is my first day. The staff is incredible.!!
