Syntagma é a praça central de Atenas. A praça recebeu o nome da Constituição que Otto, o primeiro rei da Grécia, foi obrigado a conceder após uma revolta popular e militar em 3 de setembro de 1843. Está localizada em frente ao Antigo Palácio Real do século XIX, que abriga o Parlamento grego desde 1934 A Praça Syntagma é a praça mais importante da Atenas moderna, tanto do ponto de vista histórico quanto social, no centro da atividade comercial e da política grega.
O Mercado Central (também chamado Varvakios Agora) está localizado entre Monastiraki e Praça Omonoia e é imperdível se você gosta de explorar a cultura e a gastronomia gregas. A estrutura foi construída no final do século XIX e fica aberta diariamente, desde o início da manhã até o final da noite.

Great food tour with a history lesson. Our guide Tassos was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour took about 4 hours and was filled with delicious food, coffee and amazing souvlaki. Thank you!
Started off with meeting our guide, Tassos. Meeting point was a little confusing at first but a quick message with the provider and they told me exactly where to be at. The wife and I were lucky to be the only ones, so it may have just been a private tour. Tassos took us to many places to try the “must haves” while in Greece. The pace was perfect, it made it more personal with our conversations. I would highly recommend this tour.

Tasso made the entire tour absolutely epic, his knowledge of Athens stories and his gift of relating to everyone is exceptional. The tour was very informative. He explained so much with the food took us to so many good places was the highlight of Athens.

We enjoyed our walking tour with Tassos. Interesting stories loved the hole in the wall places be took us and got to feel the vibe of being a local in a place I’d never been! I’m still full ! Great Greek pastries, olives and gyros ! Plus recipes for later !

This was a superb tour! Our guide, Tassos was so funny, knowledgeable and kind. The pace was perfect and we chatted all the way around. The food was delicious and plentiful with us tasting things and seeing streets and markets we’d never have ventured into or tried. This has been a wonderful four hours! Highly recommend

Tassos, our guide for the day, is extraordinary; he took the time to tell us the history of the city of Athens and took us on a journey through culinary history in an exceptional conviviality.
