Dakota was absolutely amazing! Hilarious to listen to, so informative, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. It was so fun to make our dolls, and I left feeling more empowered! She gave us a lot of history and information about the culture. She even gave us snacks and this was such a fun experience!!!

We were taught by Dakota for this fascinating class. From hoodoo to voodoo to Marie Ladureux to even religion, we learned so much about the history of New Orleans voodoo culture. Voodoo doll making was the tip of the iceberg. You get to pick your own fabrics, feathers, and necklace to make your doll, your own aesthetic and vibe. Most people get the wrong idea of voodoo; it is much more than just sticking a needle in. We had a fantastic time! Highly recommend!

Dakota was WONDERFUL!! Not only did she teach our voodoo doll making class with ease, grace, and humor, she gave us an in-depth history of hoodoo, voodoo, and Catholicism in New Orleans. Dakota is so willing to help you with your doll, as she is so experienced!
