BRUNO is spectacular. I took the class and I can't dance. He made me feel comfortable and laugh about my level of Samba dancing. He took the time to go through the basics and broke me out of my comfort zone. Don't be scared. After class we took Uber to block party. This is a one of a kind event and a must. Be prepared to stand and large crowd. But the band and lovely atmosphere will touch your spirit. Bruno kept us safe and is an amazing teacher and person. I would recommend this class. Its not just a tour it's an educational experience filled with love and joyful times.
Simply amazing! We had a great experience. The instructor was professional, knowledgeable and ensured that we had an amazing evening filled with fun and dance with s hint of Brazilian night life!

Had a great evening, learning and dancing Forró with Bruno. Bruno took extra time for the class, and the Forró location with live band afterwards was nice. We liked the evening very much. Thank you!
Dance Instructor Marco made the class easy and fun. We were taken to a very lively club with great music, food, and dancing.

There were about 20 of us in the class, the lesson was super fun and everyone was in great spirits even though we were pretty much all terrible 😁 I will say this was NOT as advertised. It was just the one hour class and no going samba dancing afterwards.

On the day of 2/17, I went to the venue designated as the voucher, but it was locked and not available, and I asked someone inside and they said they didn't do it today and I couldn't join in the end. Apparently, the location was changed just before the event, and I was contacted by email etc. (I was in advance by email on my PC, and my smartphone meds were not registered. This was my mistake), I couldn't confirm it, and my pre-booking from Japan to practice in samba class before the carnival was wasted. In Brazil, last minute changes occur as a matter of course, so if you want to make a reservation, you need to make sure that you have access to local contacts, which was a learning experience. If you wanted, I just wanted the voucher-designated venue to put a notice about the change of venue. The content of the samba experience itself is probably good, but I didn't get to taste it, so I gave it this rating.

Enjoyed the 1h dancing course to learn some initial steps. But the teacher was not really motivated to get us to the night club location (which was an interesting location). Overpriced for what we got in the end.

Just to give some context on pricing anywhere in the world: 1h samba class: ~USD 20 Transport to the club: ~USD 10 Tour guide (3 hours): ~USD 50 Samba club ticket: ~USD 20 Estimated total value: ~USD 100 per person Also, having instructors who can confidently teach and guide in English is not simple—learning English in Brazil is expensive and takes years, and that’s part of the experience we provide.
Great experience for a first timer! The instructor takes his time for each individual. It's definitely a workout, and timing is everything.

This was an amazing experience! Bruno is a great teacher with high expectations in the hour, but that makes it all the more fun and challenging! Spoiler alert: this tour ended with a trip to Pedro do Sal, a legendary local samba jam that locals might not otherwise find their way into or feel very comfortable in. An amazing value added after a samba lesson! I’m so grateful I got to have this experience because I wasn’t sure I’d make it there and it was nice to feel more confident about samba, even if only slightly! 😂
