Great driver. He knows his way around Rome. He arrived early and got us to our tour stops on time. He was informative and had a great attitude. It was a pleasure to have him as a driver.
Alex Paolini has been the best driver. He communicated with us early which gave me piece of mind to know he was coming to the port to meet our cruise ship and even arrived early so we could beat some of the traffic to Rome. He is so knowledgeable and seriously knows all the tricks to get us around to the best spots in Rome with little waiting or traffic. I couldn’t believe how much much we saw in a short period of time. We also had an amazing tour of the Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel with Eleonora. Our kids are 7 and 10 and she did a great job keeping the kids engaged and we learned so much. Highly recommend d.
Giulia, quickly answered our email inquiries concerning the itinerary. Paolo, our private tour driver, was knowledgeable in the history of Rome and knew his way around the city very well. Paolo, dropped us off very near the attractions we and there was little walking on our part.
Alex Paolini was our driver and he was absolutely AMAZING!!! He went well above and beyond taking care of our family including my mother in a wheelchair. He was very knowledgeable about all of Rome and even walked around the Colosseum to help us. He is the best!
We had the absolute best of the best driver/guide Peter! From booking everyone was highly communicative. They were able to arrange tickets for the coliseum and build our tour around it. Peter was incredible! He anticipated all our needs. His car and driving were impeccable. He was able to get us in and out of sites with the best tips and proximity. He took us to a wonderful restaurant off the beaten path to enjoy authentic Roman cuisine! Even with all our stops we even had time to enjoy the best gelato we have ever had! His expertise and knowledge made this visit from the port top notch! We will be back again and plan to request Peter every time!
We had a trip with Alex Paolini as our guide and he was great! He accommodated the needs of our family with young children and was very flexible-just what we needed touring Rome on a hot summer day!
Our family had the absolute pleasure of spending the day in Rome with our private driver and guide, Paolo, and it was truly one of the highlights of our entire European vacation. From the moment he greeted us at the cruise port, Paolo made us feel genuinely welcome. He was warm, personable, and immediately put us at ease. Throughout the day, he shared fascinating stories about Rome’s history, architecture, and culture, turning every drive between destinations into an engaging learning experience. His knowledge is incredible, and his passion for his city is evident in everything he does. What impressed us most was how much we were able to see in a single day without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Paolo planned the day perfectly, allowing us time to explore each location while keeping everything running smoothly. We experienced so much more than we ever imagined possible. By lunchtime, we had enjoyed his company so much that we invited him to join us, and we’re so glad we did. The conversation continued over lunch, and it felt less like spending the day with a tour guide and more like spending it with a friend who genuinely wanted us to experience the very best of Rome. Our children absolutely adored him. In fact, when the day ended, they jokingly asked if we could bring Paolo back onto our cruise ship so he could join us at our next port! Even after returning home, they’re still talking about him and everything he taught us. Paolo didn’t just show us Rome, he made us appreciate it in a way we’ll never forget. If you’re considering a private tour, we cannot recommend Paolo highly enough. His professionalism, warmth, knowledge, and ability to create such a memorable experience are truly exceptional. We would book another tour with him without hesitation, and we’ll be recommending him to everyone we know.
Our tour guide/driver for the day was great. Friendly and a wealth of information. She drove just my family of 3 and we were able to fit in so much content during our day!
We had a large group of eight, four adults and four children between the ages of 6 and 9. We had a phenomenal experience with our driver Alex Paolini. He hosted us in Rome and took care of us as if we were family. He coordinated all of the logistics of our day, even purchasing ad hoc tickets for the trevi fountain which was not in our original plan. He was always very clear in his communications and remained calm and patient despite the outside chaos of our day. He upgraded our tour with additional sight seeing, and he also made a lunch reservation for us! We had such a smooth, memorable time in Rome because of Alex! He is exceptional, and so much more than a driver. He was definitely our tour guide. He tracked our cruise ship arrival and was well aware of delays that occurred outside our control. We highly recommend this tour and our driver/guide Alex!!!!!
Alex Paolini was our driver and host for our day trip to Rome. He took care of us upon meeting him at the dock, and gave us great advice and care to get us as close as possible to the sites and back, as it was very hot. He made sure we were comfortable and had lunch planned as our last stop—thoughtfully planned out to ensure we could see all the sights before anyone—specifically kids—could get too tired. Our two families really appreciated all the thoughtful care he put into hosting us today. Thanks so much Alex!
