O Bairro Alto é um bairro pitoresco datado de 1500, que tem sido tradicionalmente o reduto boémio da cidade de artistas e escritores.
Esta é a praça principal de Lisboa, e situa-se no antigo miradouro do palácio real antes de ser destruído pelo terramoto de 1755.
O espaço da igreja era originalmente um santuário dedicado a São Sebastião. Mais tarde, albergou artefactos em memória de São Roque. Tornou-se santo graças ao seu trabalho na cura das vítimas da peste que assolou a Europa.

Amazing experience with our guide INES. She was very accommodating to our family (2 girls 10 and 11 years old). She walked us sharing knowledge and at our pace. Stopping as necessary. And… there is a surprise in the tour. A memorable one. Take it, and find out!
Antonio gave us such a lovely tour! Answered all our questions and it was mostly downhill! I would recommend the tour!!
We highly recommend the Family Friendly Lisbon Private City Tour with Jorge. He met us right on time at the designated meeting spot and spent more time with us than the 3 hours allotted. He knew the best spots for photos, was full of knowledge and answered all of our 9 year old’s questions. He brought us to the best gelato spot which we returned to the next day as well. Lisbon is very hilly so you need to wear good walking shoes, although at one point he suggested we take a bus up hill to the castle, which my husband thought was an excellent idea!
Jorge was a wonderful guide for our walking tour of Lisbon with two kids under 4! He was so great with the kids and even won over our sometimes-timid 3.5 year old. We were able to move at our toddler pace while still seeing so much of Lisbon and he even helped us with the stroller at times throughout the tour. We would absolutely recommend booking this walking tour
We had a great tour of the city with Sonia. We learnt a lot and had a great time. Sonia was very knowledgeable and was very easy going. We did the tour with our 7yr old. It took about 3 hours which was perfect for us.
João was a fantastic tour guide! We had a leisurely stroll through several neighborhoods and learned a lot about the history of Lisbon and Portugal. Our kids (ages 7 and 9) had fun too, especially when we stopped for pastel de nata. Will definitely book another tour with João on our next trip to Lisbon!
Our guide Monica was such a nice person. It was very easy to find her as she sent me her pic right before the tour. It was a great surprise to us, that our tour turned into a Harry Potter themed tour. Our kids had so many questions related to Harry Potter and she had all the answers. When we got home then of course our kids wanted to see all the movies again and they recognised so many connections to Porto. Thank you very much for this inspirational tour to our family!
Unfortunately the tour was cancelled at the last minute by the service provider, due to personal reasons. Luckily we got our money back fast.

Lucia (Lucy?) was terrific with our 11 year-old. We'd just arrived a few hours earlier, and our daughter was exhausted. Lucia kept us moving and engaged, stopped when necessary, and shared her wonderful knowledge, positivity, and sense of humor with us. It was like being introduced to Lisbon by a family member.
We did a family tour with Ângelo André today (16.2). It was an amazing experience for all of us, despite doing it with two teenagers (and a 7 years old girl). Ângelo took the time, was flexible for our needs, he truly is a professional with passion and enthusiasm, and so much to share and teach. We received great and detailed explanations about Lisbon, lots of tips for the rest of our stay in Portugal for restaurants, activities in much more. This tour has made our trip and is unforgettable. It’s been a long time since I last received such an incredible service, worth every penny!!!
