Doi Tung com um passeio panorâmico pelas montanhas. Em meio ao ar da montanha, admire uma vista panorâmica notável da Tailândia e Mianmar.
Continue sua jornada com uma visita a uma vila de tribos montanhosas, outrora um local de cultivo de ópio.
Em seguida, visite o Jardim Mae Fah Luang e desfrute do belo, elegante e bem cuidado jardim de flores coloridas
Continue sua viagem à Vila Real, a antiga casa de Srinagarindra, a Princesa Mãe. Esta elegante villa foi construída com madeira de pinho reciclado e árvores de teca descartadas.
Complete sua viagem mais acima na montanha com uma visita ao Wat Phra That Doi Tung. Construído no ano de 911 dC, este templo foi erguido da clavícula esquerda de Buda e é considerado o santuário mais antigo e mais sagrado da região.
Depois disso, iremos para o Triângulo Dourado (esta é a fronteira entre Laos, Mianmar e Tailândia e é separada pelos rios Mekong).
Existem vistas magníficas sobre o rio Mae Khong até o triângulo físico feito pela Birmânia, Laos e Tailândia na confluência dos rios Ruak e Mekong. Por uma pequena taxa (tem que pagar 300THB extra), você também pode aproveitar o passeio de barco para ver o esplendor do poderoso rio Mae Khong. Então teremos um almoço buffet.

This tour was expensive but very rewarding. It takes you to the Royal Villa and beautiful gardens at Doi Tung, downtown Mae Sai including the border crossing, the ruins of an ancient temple at Chiang Saen, and the Golden Triangle. Very comfortable vehicle, leisurely pace, and driver with good English and reasonable knowledge of geography.
The highlight of this wonderful tour was our guide, Bank. He was informative, attentive and funny. The sights were amazing and an opportunity to get away from the crowds and hustle of the cities. We got to see the country side around Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle.
Our tour was with Bank..Extremely knowledgeable and easy to understand. Had information on sites we visited also on royal family, current government structure , economy, former opium trade and business, healthcare system, and alot of good knowledge. All the sites and where we went very interesting. Household of Queen Mother was wonderful and so was what she did for her country. Ask for Bank!
If you have a whole free day to spare in Chiang rai I would absolutely do this tour I had the best day ever!!! I have been in Thailand many times and done many tours but this was my favourite! Gap my tour guide was the best!! He speaks great English and has so much knowledge to share. I learnt so much..

Best experience for us was the lunch cruise at the golden triangle. Suzy was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Flexible when she realized we had already toured the White Temple and instead toured tea plantation. Overall, we would recommend this experience. Thanks again for a great day!
With tourism globally impacted by to COVIDvirus, our minibus tour was in a comfortable private car with just us 2 and the driver/guide. Over 8 hours, leaving from Chiang Rai, we covered all that was listed in the itinerary, albeit not necessarily in the same order as advertised. There were many highlights, including the beautifully maintained Mae Fah Leung Garden and Royal Villa at Doi Tung, the delicious Thai smorgasbord at a roadside stop, people watching at the Thai/Myanmar border crossing at Mae Sae, standing at the confluence of the Ruok and Mekong Rivers, looking simultaneously from Thailand to Laos and Myanmar, some impressive ancient Wat and the Opium Museum - well presented and informative. On the downside, smoke from Myanmar impeded what should have been awesome mountain vistas, and our guide/driver provided a couple of heart- stopping moments by crossing to the wrong side of the road on blind downhill corners. Fortunately traffic was light. We live to tell the tale!
