Oh boy where do I start, I truly cannot thank Sameer and Nitin enough for the tour. I booked this tour back in December 19th so although the trip was already a month ago I cannot help but hope to meet these folks again in the future. Sameer is extremely knowledgeable and humble. When I spoke with him, he educated me on Mumbai and we stroked up organic conversations throughout the day as I was the only one on the tour that day. He was also very flexible and tailored the Itinerary since I had seen some of the recommended sites. I don’t know any other company that would do the same. He even helped me buy floss and souvenirs. He has many friends and connections and it’s apparent that throughout the trip, you feel very safe and welcomed. Sameer, if you happen to read this, thank you for the wonderful trip. I hope you and your family are doing well!
Sameer was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He contacted me the day before the trip to confirm all the details of the trip and promptly picked me up from the hotel. I thought the itinerary was very well thought out, and he took the time to explain the history and significance of all the sites we visited. It was a truly educational experience, I highly recommend it
Great city tour of Mumbai! Vikrant was punctual and very knowledgeable of Mumbai. We enjoyed our city tour very much
We feel very happy and enjoyed the remarkable cave site at Kanheri. Personally I found this spot most attractive especially from archaeology and religion points. Our guide Vikrant did a perfect job, after the caves he took us to a nice vegetarian restaurant and tried several famous Indian dishes. With a local companion we felt save and enjoy trying new food. On the way to other sightseeing spots in Mumbaihe we stopped for a sip of chai tea at a local shop which it turned to be very nice. Beautiful & happy day.
This tour is just perfect if you have only one day stop in Mumbai and want to see as much as possible. Kanheri Caves were awesome, 100% worth visit and the rest of the day was even more exciting. We visited most iconic places in South Mumbai, but also tried some local food and traveled by regional train. Our guide was very very friendly and passionated, best I ever met in India. I highly recommend this tour.
We had a fab tour by sameer in mumbai. The caves were incredible and his local knowledge brilliant. I would definitely recommend esp if you’re limited for time as felt like we covered all the main sites. Pleased we went to the kanheri caves rather than the elephant caves which sound more touristy.
I recommend Sameer and his tour for anyone who is interested in seeing both the Kenhari caves and Mumbai. This is the only tour I found where you don’t have to choose between the two, even if the distance between the caves and most of the other sights is vast. If you have a choice of days, do this during the week to spend less time in traffic. And wear sturdy shoes for the caves - no flip flops or ballet flats given the rock stairs. But it’s totally worth it and Sameer did a great job explaining their history and cultural significance.
What a fantastic (11 hour long!) day. A trip to he Khaneri caves, then a taster of all the fruits from the stalls, green mango, jellyfish fruit?! Cucumbers with masala chat.... I was encouraged to be brave! My driver was wonderful. I was supposed to have come with my daughter but ended up a solo traveller so was a bit apprehensive. He let me alter the schedule a little and we stopped for a lovely meal, little puff things with lentils in and 2 sauces which you put in the mouth whole, and masala chai. Saw the sights I wanted to, particularly moved by the Ghandi museum. Hanging gardebs not fabulous but the view was perfect, lots of photo opps,Taj Mahal and Victory Arch were cordoned off(G20 summit? Christian Dior?) but that didn't detract from the FULL ON fabulous day I enjoyed. I'm still reeling from the experience even now I'm back home in UK. Thoroughly recommend it.
VERY comprehensive tour seeing all the main points of South Mumbai and the Kanheri Caves. Trip was as-advertised, with comfortable and courteous service throughout. Sameer was a fantastic guide who was born in Mumbai and was willing to address any question asked. My favourite spots were the "secret caves" he took me to (most people don't go to these) and a visit to Mahatma Gandhi's house. The rest was great sight-seeing and experiencing the local culture--I wouldn't change or remove any of the stops. This is truly a full-day tour. Picked up at the Trident Hotel at 9am and returned at 6pm, and not a minute was wasted. For lunch, he recommended a local Indian restaurant in South Mumbai, which was delicious and quite affordable. Wear comfortable walking shoes. If you want an authentic, comprehensive tour led by a Local that immerses you in the history (past, present, and future) of Mumbai, Choose This Tour!
Our day in Mumbai was great, exhausting and a wonderful experience. It began tough, but our guide and co-owner of this tour company; Sameer, has plans in his pocket for the unexpected. Our tour was to begin at the Kanheri Caves, but after the long ride through Mumbai traffic, we arrived to find they had unexpectedly closed the caves for the day! It was impossible for our guide to know this beforehand, but he quickly and apologetically offered a refund for the caves and a rerouting to the Global Vipassana Pagoda nearby. The refund was unnecessary as he sincerely tried and succeeded in making up for the lost attraction. We didn’t get to see the caves but did visit the pagoda, in which I originally was not overly interested, but in the end found the visit quite worthwhile. This all took what felt like much of the day as we needed to drive back into south Mumbai to continue the tour. Feeling the day was slipping away we skipped lunch having gone prepared with protein shakes as a ‘just in case’. That allowed us to make all the remaining stops which were fascinating. We were able to walk to a couple sites which gave us a little experience and confidence to venture into the streets on our own in subsequent days. Sameer is building his business and managed to handle the unexpected exceedingly well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him getting a taste of life in Mumbai.
