wonderful experience with Kiwi Adventures Tour & Travel on our private tour around Christchurch. The whole trip was comfortable, relaxed, and very well organised. We really enjoyed having a private tour because we could explore Christchurch at our own pace without feeling rushed. Our guide was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the city and the surrounding areas. They shared interesting information about the places we visited. Matt was such an accommodating tour guide.
We had a wonderful Christchurch Garden City tour with Kiwi Adventures Tour. Dave was a friendly and knowledgeable local guide who made the day enjoyable from start to finish. We visited the Port Hills, Lyttelton Harbour, beautiful beaches, Botanic Gardens, and the amazing International Antarctic Centre, which was the highlight of the trip. A relaxing family-friendly tour with plenty of scenic stops. Highly recommend!

Exploring Christchurch with Steve was an unforgettable experience! This city tour had everything—from the stunning gondola ride and a fascinating visit to the International Antarctic Centre, to relaxing punting on the river and a stroll through the beautiful Botanic Gardens. Steve was an exceptional driver and a truly professional local guide, sharing deep insights into Christchurch’s earthquake history and its incredible rebuild and growth. We had a fantastic family day exploring Christchurch! We visited the Christchurch Gondola, the Botanic Gardens, and the airforce museum Although the weather was a bit cloudy, it didn’t take away from what turned out to be a great day. Our tour guide was absolutely lovely very helpful, accommodating, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Christchurch!

Booked for 4 people The driver was lovely and tries to customize the tour. We wanted to go to the Antarctica place but he did not want to drive us from the port to the airport area . Tour was booked for 8 hours and we asked for 7 to get back to ship driver had a second job he had to get to and our tour was only 5.5 hours. Not fair as we paid for 8 and it was on us for 4. Also advertised for wifi. In the private vehicle and water… nope none of that. Disappointed Canadians
Kia ora Bonnie, Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share your concerns regarding the time constraints on your Christchurch day tour. Your cruise was scheduled to arrive at 8:00am, and our driver was present at the Norwich Quay bus stop from approximately 8:20am, in line with standard pickup times, as most tours from the cruise commence between 8:20–8:30am. The driver made several attempts to contact you; however, the contact number provided was not reachable. As per your preference, the tour commenced at 9:55am (for a 10:00am start) and concluded with your drop-off at the port at 5:10pm following the Gondola activity. This provided a total service duration of approximately 7 hours and 10 minutes, despite the delayed start of around 1 hour and 30 minutes. We ensure all guests are returned to the port in a timely manner to comfortably catch the shuttle back to their cruise. Due to the later start time, it was unfortunately not possible to include the International Antarctic Centre, as this experience typically requires at least 2 hours onsite, in addition to approximately 1 hour of travel time. We regret any disappointment caused and appreciate your understanding. Your feedback is important to us as we continuously strive to improve our services.
We had a wonderful tour of Christchurch with Jorge yesterday. We visited both the beach with the cave rock and the top of the mountain for amazing views of the city and water. Jorge change the schedule to meet our likes. This included stopping for snacks and coffee when we asked him or finding us a place where the locals go for lunch. I recommend Jorge highly

Felt very rushed at the botanical gardens. Only had 40 mins and need at least 1 1/2 hours. When booking, could only book and pay for four people even though there were only 2 of us.

For cruise ship day trips, we always factor in enough time for guests to return to the port and catch the shuttle back on schedule. However, we understand your concern and will certainly review the timing to ensure a more relaxed experience for future guests. Regarding the booking issue, we apologise for the inconvenience. Please note that for groups of 1–4 guests, the tour pricing remains the same. This is why the system did not adjust the price for fewer guests within this range. Christchurch city is one of the major attraction in South Island. Its past earthquake history and rapid re development of city centre is impressive. City Tram, Botanic gardens, Quake museum are must visit places. We highly recommend this city tour.
