Chobe day tour Did this as a day tour with pick up from Vic Falls. Morning cruise on Chobe River. Afternoon game drive in Chobe NP. Some have said the Chobe day tour from Vic Falls involves a tiresome amount of time travelling to and from the park. I did not find this so, and nothing at all felt hurried. Having a Kaza visa helps cut time when re-entering Zimbabwe from Botswana. River cruise was on a small motor launch, and we saw water buffalo (on an island mid-river) and many crocs and hippos. At one point a pod of hippos began to surround the boat and we had to move out quickly. After lunch at the 'Coffee Buzz', Kasane, the game drive offered close views of many large herbivores. The giraffes and elephants were highlights. Again, despite being the one day tour, we never hurried, there was always plenty of time for impromtu stops whenever the Park Ranger spotted something unexpected and interesting – eg two male giraffes fighting – and there was also plenty of time to observe a whole range of behaviours in the Chobe elephants, both female/ juvenile herds and lone males. We did not see any cats (although they had been witnessed in the area in the morning), but the richness of the large herbivore sightings more than made up for this. The knowledge of the park rangers was encyclopaedic, and the transportation arranged by Kalahari Tours was efficient. The combination of river cruise and game drive was a great one, and for those on a tight time-table I would highly recommend the one-day Chobe option.
All our trips were wonderful and stunning but our last evening Safari with our guide OP was incredible. We immediately warmed to his great personality and were humbled by his knowledge and experience. OP brought us to trails rarely frequented to have up close encounters. We travelled the river back and them started our search for lions and the elusive leopard. Having spent a long time searching and about to give up due to darkness, OP skillfully tracked her to a tree. Thank you, OP for unforgettable memories, while the other guide are fantastic, you are outstanding.
Thank you, Robert for the fantastic review of OP. We are so thrilled he looked after you so well and you appreciated his tracking skills and personality.
Professional and well worth cost. Picked us up at our lodge in Victoria Fslls and got us across the border to Botswana. Morning part was a boat tour on the Chobe river. Crocodiles, elephants, hippos, impala, and birds galore. We were fed lunch at their headquarters then boarded jeep for the over land portion. They really know where to find the animals. Sam was an amazing guide! Afterward we were escorted back across the border and delivered safe and sound back to our lodge.
Had an epic adventure with Masuku Adventure Safaris in Victoria Falls! 😍 The game drive was LIT 🔥 - spotted lions, elephants, and giraffes in their natural habitat. Guides were super knowledgeable and passionate about wildlife conservation. Highly recommend for an unforgettable African safari experience!
Thanks again
A Chobe day trip is a popular full-day safari from Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Livingstone (Zambia) into Botswana's Chobe National Park
Thanks Panashe Tours
Six of us (4 adults, 2 kids) did a day tour of Chobe from Victoria Falls, and it was unbelievable. Our guide Chica was the absolute best — so knowledgeable (and it doesn’t hurt that he’s very cute and has a great voice!!). We saw hundreds of elephants and other stuff (birds, lions, etc). Incredible day.
Dear Atleigh thank you for the awesome rview and commending Chika !
Selected Kalahari for my day trip to Chobe national park. The service and guide were spot on, and the river cruise along the Chobe River did not disappoint. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable.
Thanks Adrian for the super review , much appreciated !
Good, informative tour with our guide Frimbe (Free). He asked what we found most important to see and really made an effort to make it happen. We saw so many hippos, lions, elephants etc and he knew so much interesting facts about the environment and the animals and their behaviour. It was also a pleasure to meet another Swede in the office; Kristin, lovely!
Thank you Jeanette for the awesome review and the compliments on Furimbis services we do appreciate it greatly !
Not sure why this tour operator only has 29 reviews, it's a phenomenal company! I strongly recommend them. We had a really good experience with them, everything was seamless, from timely pick up, getting across the border smoothly, and the memorable boat and car safaris. Free was an excellent guide. The tea and lunch breaks at the Kalahari offices deserve special mention, really great.
We did the full day safari and day by boat. Would highly recommend. Joe our guide both days was excellent and highly knowledgeable. Made sure we saw everything and answered all questions. Would recommend Joe and this company for anyone visiting.
Thanks Justin for the awesome report will be sure to commend Joe . Please do come again
