I learned to make my slippers wirh a master craftsman beside me and our translator was also very open with great information. It allowed me to ask questions I was curious about with in a conversation and came out with beautiful slippers

What a wonderful experience this morning! We were so warmly welcomed by Hajar on our arrival. The workshop was such fun and was clearly explained step by step with helping hands whenever needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and were so pleased to leave with such a beautiful pair of top quality 'made to measure' slippers and memories of a wonderful morning. Absolutely exceeded our expectations, so very hands on -you did the entire babouche from start to finish, and left with a 5 star product. The teacher was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I have to mention Hajar, The most wonderful assistant, very funny and welcoming, gave us loads of places to visit in Morocco and took lots of lovely photos of us. We left the workshop smiling from ear to ear, what a lovely experience!

You make a pair of wearable slippers! They are a perfect pair of house slippers, with a hard sole. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The place is quite a long way out of the centre of Marrakech but the better for it. It is in a centre for education in traditional arts. I enjoyed the slipper making very much, I think the instructor wasn’t that impressed with my gluing skills and took over, but I feel that I did enough of the making to say that I made my slippers ! The session was just me so I had lots of attention given to the process and a nice conversation with the guide, I apologise I have forgotten her name. It was a tranquil place out of the hustle and bustle and after the session I had a look around at the other workshops and saw other crafts like book binding and plaster work being created. The slippers were my holiday gift to myself and I am glad I made them rather than just bought some.
