Our guide, Rosendo, and our driver, Jorge, were very professional and personable. Our group were very happy with the tour. We all learned alot about the Mayan culture, the cenote and the town of Isamal... Chichen Itza was the best! We really got our money's worth for sure....
Pick up point for the beginning of the day’s tour was convenient and explained perfectly, and took place exactly on time. Our guide was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. It would’ve been nice if the tour company could have provided a cooler on board of chilled bottled water. The first part of the trip to Chichen Itzá was excellent and the buffet lunch at the cenote was a good experience. Given the high temperatures, I could’ve easily gone straight back to Medida rather than visit Izamal.
The overall experience of the tour itself was amazing! The booking process was easy through TripAdvisor, however, there was missing information (the cost of admission to the cenote and Chichen Itza), and incorrect information (the address of one of the pickup locations).
We went to chichen Iza, a cenote and Izamal. The driver was the guide and he was not very friendly and rushing us. He only talk what he wanted like the Mayan calendar. We didn’t enjoy the tour. The real bad incident happened on our way back to Merida. He was driving very fast on the highway which you don’t pay tolls. The road was very bumpy. Then he got distracted hit speed bump that’s when we hit our head so hard that my sister’s glasses flew off. We had a headache the rest of our vacation.
We had an excellent day touring Yucatán with Guías de Yucatán. Our guide, Rosendo, picked us up promptly and was a great driver throughout the trip. We visited Chichén Itzá and arrived early, which made a huge difference. We beat the crowds! Rosendo was knowledgeable, informative, and clearly passionate about the history and culture of the region. He answered our questions, shared interesting insights, and kept the experience engaging with his sense of humor. In addition to Chichén Itzá, we visited Izamal and the X’Cajum Cenote. What I appreciated most was that this wasn’t just a trip to a famous archaeological site, we also got to see the Yucatán countryside, meet people, and experience more of the region’s character, history, etc. The entire day was a great value for the money. Chichén Itzá is a must-see, but getting to explore so much more of Yucatán made the experience even better. Rosendo was friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to spend the day with. Highly recommended!
Our guide, Rosendo, picked us up early in the morning from the designated meeting point so that we could arrive in time for the Chichen Itza opening and explore before the crowds started, and he brought us there without any problems. After providing us with detailed information about the historical artifacts and the pyramid in the area, he left us free to enjoy and explore the surroundings. Later, due to an operational reason, they directed me to a similar Cenote, though not the one I had specified, so I could enjoy it, giving me detailed directions. Swimming in the cenote was also a very enjoyable experience. Finally, after giving us the opportunity to get to know the local culture of Yucatan and spend time in the unique city of Izamal, which, although not well-preserved/damaged, also contains various pyramids, he dropped us off without any problems at the place where he picked us up in the morning. It was a very pleasant and trouble-free day. The only negative thing I can say is that the lunch break was started early; the restaurant hadn't even started serving yet when we arrived. The food quality wasn't very good either.
Was a great tour, loved the cenote and the knowledge of our tour guide. I personally wouldn’t have minded if we skipped the last part of our tour to Izamal.
Well organized- Freddie, our guide, was great. Enough time at Chichen Itza, great choice of cenote (it wasn’t very crowded at all. Made for a beautiful and tranquil experience. Bring your swimsuits, flip flops and towels. There are changing rooms and lockers at the cenote.) Buffet is just okay. Yellow town was fine- super hot so they drove us first for a 20 minute stop at the convent, and then a 20 minute stop at the temple. Great timing. Got back around 4:30. The only room for improvement is pickup. Id recommended doing hotel pickups since the start time is so early.
Rosendo of Guias de Yucatán was an ideal tour guide, pleasant, fluent in English, and very knowledgeable of Chitzen Itza and its environs. We appreciated the sites more because of his explanations.
My husband and I had a wonderful time on this tour. Freddy was an excellent guide. He was clearly knowledgeable about Chichen Itza and Mayan culture. He gave us some fascinating info on the way there so we could focus on the site while there. He switched back and forth between Spanish and English clearly and effortlessly. It was not fun waking up so early but when we saw the midday crowds and felt the heat, I was glad we had. Freddy also took the time to get excellent photos of every party individually in front of Chichen Itza and ours turned out great! The buffet was just ok with the exception of the cochinita pibil which was quite good. But it was an efficient stop on a busy day. We stayed that night in Valladolid so I can’t speak to the rest of the tour. They were flexible with people, letting one couple take the Tren Maya to Chichén Itzá and providing them with transportation to and from the station, letting us bring our suitcases, and letting people chose between a cenote and Valladolid. Overall, I highly recommend!
