We really enjoyed this tour. The guided visit to Chichen Itza was informative but easy to follow, and the guide kept it engaging without overloading us with details. The cenote swim was a perfect break to cool off and relax. The mayan food was a highlight on it's own. It tasted authentic and genuinely delicious. This is a great option if you want history, nature and good local food all in one trip.
We booked the tour as part of our trip, and it was truly unforgettable! Walking through the Mayan city and learning about its history was absolutely fascinating. The guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience even more special by sharing stories and fun facts
I never imagined that such a simple place could be so spectacular. The open cenote where we swam had stunning natural light. It was surrounded by greenery and total tranquility. The Ruins seemed magical. A 100% recommended experience if you are in the Riviera Maya or Valladolid!
Great experince. Very nice guide and driver. A bit long drive but worthed. Cons are the selling stops for the maya priest. It was a bit funny he wanted to overcharge by 10x the price of a little statue. Be careful with those selling stops. .overall was ok. Could have spent more time at the cenote and playa del carmen instead of wasting time with the selling stops.
The 6:00 and up is unrepresentative. We left at 7:20 am and came back at 10:30 pm! About 10 hours of bus for 5 hours of activity! And in addition in a bus where the benches are broken (the backrest does not hold a position, the footrest is completely broken, the small table does not support anything) The place is beautiful!! But visiting the city is useless! Go see on the internet and it makes the same deal!!! The guides are super nice!! But I have the impression that the one who speaks English does not say all the same information as the one who speaks Spanish. There's a lack of uniformity.
Our tour guide, Hector, was fantastic. Our tour was both in English and Spanish and the way he spoke, the transition was smooth. He was very knowledgeable and spoke well so you could easily understand him. Made sure to give you advice on buying souvenirs and other stuff. Juan, his partner was very accommodating and showed such great hospitality. We got the “plus” package which gave you drinks all day in the bus and he made sure you were not thirsty at all. All in all both worked well together and they gave us such a great day going around Yucatán. The time management was fantastic, gave you enough time and they stayed true to how long they said you’ll be at and the free time you’ll have. At the Cenote you have to get a life jacket (mandatory) and a locker if you don’t want you stuff to be out in the open. I just left my valuables in the bus and just brought my towel so I didn’t need to get a locker. It’s a long day and if you have kids like 2yrs and under, really think about if you should bring them or not. Also I would advise to bring Mexican currency. They have their own rate and if you pay in USD, you'll be paying more than you really need to especially if you can get a good exchange rate from wherever you are.
On time, comfortable ride & pleasant staff. First stop is a Mayan village with authentic mayan arts for sale, very expensive from hundreds to thousands, these are not your usual cheap souvenirs, it's real stuff! In the same compound we had delicious buffet lunch with a bonus short Mayan traditional dance performance. Second stop is Chitzen itza, amazing to see this ancient pyramid. Next went to cenote w/c was great then a very short stop in Valladolid for only 20 minutes, not enough to do anything really. Overall it's very good but just too short times in cenote & town. And toilet in bus was broken.
It was a VERY long day, so probably not suitable for family with small children. We were picked up by a clean and comfortable commercial bus in Cancun at 7:30am (some guests were already on the bus) and did not return to our hotel until almost 11pm! The two guides on the bus, the driver, and the English guide at Chichen Itza (about an hour) were all amazing and had our attention the whole time. Unfortunately it was very rush at both Chichen and the Cenote. We were just running all day and did not have a chance to truly enjoy the experience. The buffet was quite good. Their special green fruit punch was 120 pesos per glass and you cannot bring your own beverage. Overall this tour had met our expectations and there was no pressure at all for tipping or buying anything if one was not interested. The customer service via WhatsApp was also very helpful and prompt. The only small complaint I had was that the locker fee at the Cenote was not mentioned in the tour description on Expedia (40 pesos for a small one, but the lifejackets were free) and that the additional archeological tax for Chichen was 800 pesos per person versus 765 online and in the confirmation letter. We will choose Josmar Line again for our next excursion, but definitely no more that includes hotel transportation!
We appreciate your feedback which helps us improve, we are sorry for any inconveniences that happened and we will take action related to lockers and taxes that were overcharged. Our mission is to provide you with the best experiences, and your feedback helps us achieve this. We hope to see you soon
We really liked the explanation of the Chichen-itzá city, it is something that I did not expect, all the amazing things it has and all the history behind it, without a doubt a unique experience. The cenote and the Mayan village were an excellent complement to delve into the Mayan culture and make this experience complete.
I learned a lot on this tour, I always wanted to visit Chichen Itza and I traveled with my family to see the ruins... The transportation was a bus that arrived a little earlier than expected, but it was good, I liked that there were guides who gave the explanation in English, Spanish and he even gave the explanation to a family in front of the bus in German. I took a lot of photos and we left with good memories of the excursion... The only thing I would have liked was for it not to rain that day, but it doesn't matter much, everything was great
