Esta visão geral animada da arquitetura de Chicago explora edifícios icônicos da década de 1890 até o presente. Compararemos e contrastaremos uma ampla variedade de edifícios com estilos arquitetônicos variados e veremos como as estruturas mais antigas se conectam a novas adições ao horizonte. Neste passeio, faremos sete paradas no centro de Chicago, onde poderemos comparar as histórias e os estilos dos edifícios localizados próximos uns dos outros. O passeio apresenta edifícios comerciais, beaux-arts, modernos e pós-modernos do século XIX, bem como o que há de mais moderno em arquitetura de Frank Gehry, Renzo Piano e Adrian Smith. A cada parada, veremos as conexões entre o passado e o presente e descobriremos o que inspira o design hoje. O passeio culmina com uma visita ao Millennium Park, onde arte e arquitetura de classe mundial se combinam, criando um tecido urbano único. Highly recommend the Graceland Cemetery Tour. Many prominent Chicago figures are there and the cemetery is also considered an arboretum.
