Our guide was patient, respectful, and kind. The trek itself was unexpected and quite muddy, but luckily, we had requested walking sticks and had a super patient guide. Once we arrived at the waterfall, it was worth it. We took our first tuk tuk ride through Moshi and Materuni. It was quite an experience!! Appreciative of the experience and Chamechamana Culture Tourism and how professionally the handled our booking.

Materuni Waterfalls is one of the most beautiful natural attractions near Moshi, Tanzania, located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The experience combines breathtaking scenery, a refreshing hike, and an authentic cultural visit to a local Chagga coffee farm, making it an excellent day trip for nature lovers and adventure seekers. The hike to the waterfall takes you through lush green forests, banana plantations, and coffee farms. Along the way, visitors enjoy fresh mountain air, stunning landscapes, and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. The trail is moderately easy and suitable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness. At the end of the hike, the impressive waterfall cascades over 80 metres into a cool natural pool, where visitors can relax or even take a refreshing swim.

It was a great experience, the waterfalls are magnificent! But if it rains or has rained recently, the walking path is very difficult. The guide was kind and helped us a lot not to slip on the muddy road. Lunch was good and the coffee farm was fun.
