We were in a small group and our van driver was Michael "Corleone". He was an excellent historian and tour guide, giving us a plethora of knowledge about Taormina, Castelmola and Catania. They are all extremely beautiful cities and worth visiting, but Michael really made the tour top notch!
It was a wonderful experience with Michele. He was very helpful and shared a lot of great details. I liked the small group aspect, tailored to us and an only few others. Well done, Michele. Thank you, sir.
Michael (Michele) and his copilot Daniel made our trip memorable. He was very informative, provided us info on what to eat, and shared the symbolism of the town. He was also extremely funny and kept us entertained the entire time. I will be back to Sicily and will request him next time. Thanks again for the amazing trip.
An exceptional experience getting to Taormina and Castelmola. Our guide was very informative and gave us good recommendations and plenty of time to explore.
this was a great small group tour. Just 4 of us in the tour. Michele was our driver and tour guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable on our drive from Catania to Taormina. The time at the stops is on your own. Had plenty of time to explore and enjoy the local culture
Wonderful tour with our guide Chris who was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Sicily and readily shared it in an interesting and amusing way. Castelmola is a beautiful mountain top town with amazing views and Taormina has a stunning amphitheatre which is well worth seeing and lovely cobbled streets abounding with shops. Definitely recommend!
Villages were beautiful and the water was crystal blue. Having free time at each location made it a pleasant excursion without being rushed.
Michael was an excellent guide with a wealth of information. Of all our excursions on this cruise, this was the best one. Plenty of free time to explore, shop, sample local eateries, etc. Absolutely beautiful area.
The tour was not exactly what we were expecting but turned out to be just what we needed. Our driver, Michael, was great. Personable, funny and knew his stuff. We first went to catania which was breathtaking. We had time to walk around and explore and it was like stepping back in time on a Sicilian fairy tale. We next went to Taormina and had a couple of hours to shop, have lunch and explore. There was no real history to take in and hear about, but we immersed in it.
They give good information and ample time to explore. The tour guide was funny and entertaining. Loved both taormina and Castelmola
