Castle & Wine Tasting & Almoço

What a wonderful day! The castle was amazing and our guide Filip had so much knowledge of the castle including inside information due to how long he had been going there (as a child with his Father) that his stories gave us a real s sense of the history and culture. The winery and lunch was lovely (I left with four bottles of wine!) and service was excellent. Wonderful guide and our driver was also great. Highly recommend!

The castle was beautiful and fascinating. Our guide knew lots of history and was able to answer all of our questions. The wine lunch after was incredible- delicious food a variety of tasty wines.

We had a very nice time on our tour to Trakoscan Castle and Vuglec Winery. Our guide Robert was friendly, timely, professional, and lovely to chat with about life in Croatia. The castle and museum are excellently restored, well kept, provide a lot of information, and clearly have some artifacts that one would not see anywhere else. Vuglec was heaven on earth - lovely views, friendly staff, great food, and plenty of good wine. Our only regret was spoiling our dinner - if you’re going to Vuglec, skip breakfast and plan on a light dinner, because the lunch is plentiful!

The tour is so good as simple. Meeting point was at city center Zagreb, easy to find, but we late despite it. The guide was so kind and wait us for 15 minutes. A plus for those who is so bad in topology. Castle klimb was not too difficult, but still need to wear good shoes for gravy path. Dinner was in a reastaurant. Delicious more than expected. The tour guide Vanja was lovely and friendly, provided some history and had great chat. Amazing views from the castle and the lunch and wine tasting was amazing!! Very incredible food and lovely views for lunch. Only negative was that I felt the tour was a bit overpriced.

Vanja was my tour guide for this all-day tour to Trakošćan castle and winery/restaurant. She was very knowledgeable about Croatia and so fun to talk with during several one-hour driving legs. Only 2 of us on the tour made for a personal experience. I had a few issues and she ensured I was accommodated (food allergies, stairs). She spoke perfect English (along with at least 4 other languages). Restaurant and winery we visited was off the beaten path but well known to locals. Stunning views from the top with excellent food and wine. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a more personalized experience. Zico Tours made accommodations for me from the start (communicative in email) to ensure I was able to go on this great tour. 5-stars for Vanja, Adam and Zico tours!

We were so glad that we went on this tour with our guide, Robert. He is very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. We learned a lot about Croatian history from what he shared, and from our visit to the spectacular castle. And the food and drink at the winery was the best I've had in months. Beautiful, relaxing views all around the countryside.

We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful castle and family-run winery. Our guide, Robert with Zico tours, was extremely knowledgeable and fun - he kept us laughing! A relaxing day day in the Croatian countryside with good food, company and delicious wine. We highly recommend this tour for those looking for a close day trip outside the city.

This tour could have been so much more if they removed the second stop. We felt sorry for Harry having to show us this part. He looked embarrassed by the host’ s antics. The visit to the Trakoscan castle and the wine tasting experience were exceptional.
