Castel del Monte, a famosa fortaleza octogonal símbolo da coroa de Frederico II da Suábia e magnífico testemunho do reinado de um dos mais fascinantes e misteriosos imperadores da história medieval. Uma hora de passeio pelos ambientes internos e externos do solar de Frederico, para entender melhor o que está por trás da aparente simplicidade e sobriedade de um castelo que já foi muito mais rico e decorado do que hoje. Deixe-se acompanhar pelos nossos guias, que lhe revelarão detalhes que de outra forma seriam impossíveis de notar ao simples olhar do visitante. O passeio é mediante pedido e não inclui o transfer para Castel del Monte. Ponto de encontro no estacionamento CAT. Very informative tour. We learned a lot about history and Frederick II.
A very impressive and well-maintained monumental site. In my opinion, the ticket price is too high (10 euros per person) considering that the castle is practically empty and the guide is an additional cost. It is worth visiting for its unique shape and location.

Mrs. Angela guided us, very prepared indeed. The castle is beautiful and definitely has its symbolism and historical importance, although it is totally bare inside.

This castle is spectacular, definitely worth a visit also because it is all very well organized. You get to a parking area you leave your own and take a shuttle that with only 2 euros takes you to the top and at the end always with the same ticket takes you back down, no waiting. If you go on the first Sunday of the month the visit is free. From the castle you can enjoy an exceptional panoramic view. A unique monument that makes you think that in the past the builders were geniuses with a fabulous talent for having built buildings that nowadays are still standing to defy time.
