Passeio gastronômico em Casablanca

We very much enjoyed our food tour in casa Blanca with Achraf. He made us feel very welcome and introduced us to Casablanca food, culture, architecture and history. We enjoyed all the foods that we tried, which included smoothies, pastries of different varieties, and a beef roll. The highlight of the trip was visiting the fish market to pick out our fish, which was then brought to chef at restaurant to cook fresh. The meal was super fresh and very delicious. We ended with mint and lemon verbena tea. A lovely afternoon.

This was such a fun way to experience a slice of Casablanca. We made 5 stops, places that we normally would have walked past and found them all excellent. The people are genuinely welcoming and our guide, Ashrum, was friendly and informative.

The tour was better than expected. We learned a lot not only about the different foods and preparations but about life in Casablanca. Would recommend to anyone interested in Casablanca way of life.

The tour with Achraf was great! We were an international group of five people: one Canadian, two American women and two Germans. We hit it off right away. Achraf has responded very individually to our wishes and has answered many additional historical and cultural questions.

The tour is a great introduction to Casablanca and Achraf was a delightful and knowledgeable guide. In addition to talking about Moroccan food, he also discussed the country’s history and culture and Casablanca’s architecture. For a bonus, he took us to an herb shop. Btw, Achraf’s mother teaches cooking classes!

We paid $250 (total for the pair of us) for a walking tour of both the New and Old Medina in Casablanca. We started out with a fresh fruit smoothie that was packed with fresh ripe fruit . Then we walked to a pastry shop where we made a selection of beautiful local pastries. After that we were escorted to the amazing fish market where our guide consulted with us and then bargained with the fishmonger for a selection of seafood which we carried around the corner to a local restaurant which cooked the fish and presented it for lunch. It was accompanied by baba ghanous and shaksuka, local bread and amazing marinated olives. We had an opportunity to share a couple of sardines with a charming local street cat, who performed a little dance to encourage our generosity. After that we had traditional tea at a street side table where we enjoyed the pastries purchased earlier. If you book this tour, I would advise a very light breakfast because the food was delicious and the portions generous. Our guide was extremely pleasant, very fluent in English, and gave us great historical information during our walk around town. All of the food was included in the price of the tour, and we got to give input into all the different selections of food on offer. This was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to be a bit adventurous in eating local food and who is a good walker. The pavement can be a little rough and challenging but we had no issues as long as we maintained some awareness of the road conditions.

Achraf was amazing and very helpful. He showed us good food and taught us about the town. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Beautiful food and Achraf was very friendly, helpful and informative

We had a great time with Achraf. He was very knowledgeable about Casablanca and all of the places we stopped. Also took great photos! The food stops were great, including the famous Pâtisserie Bennis. The seafood was fresh, handed picked from the market and cooked minutes later at the restaurant. Definitely enjoyed this tour and would recommend.
