Sonya was a brilliant guide - knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The journey to and from Carcassonne was very comfortable. We had just under 2 hours in Carcassonne so there wasn't time to do much after the guided part of the visit (eg walk on the ramparts) Another hour in Carcassonne would have made the trip better value.

Carcassonne is a must see. We had an amazing guide in Sonia. Highly recommend. The city and history are very interesting.
Just make sure you know that you don't get inside the castle at all. There is no time to walk on the rampparts either. You get a little time to walk through the village with the guide and take a few pictures. Out alone time was cut short because we were waiting for another person to show up for at least twenty minutes! Then when we were supposed to have an hour on our own to explore this was cut down to half an hour!! We should not have been punished for another guest, not showing up on time. We were all very disappointed and especially me ,since I've always ever wanted to go to Carcassonne ,and because I won't be back to France again☹️

Saint-Nazaire Basilica: Admire its stunning stained-glass windows, dating back to the Middle Ages. Charming Streets: Wander through narrow alleys filled with quaint shops and discover the hidden gems of the old town. Found it informative, convenient and relaxing tour from Toulouse to Carcassone. Trip was quick but we were able to tour the entire walled city.
It was very interesting and pretty... Suggestion... Wear warm clothes, cause it's very windy out there. Wish we had a little more time inside... Had only enough time to have a scoop of ice cream and check some souvenir shops.
