Elena was helpful and friendly and made the whole experience run smoothly There was a good balance of information and the boat tour and then ample free time to explore capri and Ana capri
Beautiful experience in Capri, we chose hp travel and it was all perfect, beautiful boat tour around the island and our guide Elena and 'was very good, helpful and very kind, thanks hp travel and thanks Elena
The trip was excellent. Pick up on time and our guide Elena was wonderful! Helped us secure seats on the boat conducive to taking the best pictures and gave great advice on things to do on Capri, sending us directions through WhatsApp. Upon leaving we booked another tour to Pompeii and Vesuvius with a representative of this company. He promised a personal guide at Pompei and a geological guide at Vesuvius. At Pompeii we were included in a group of about 40 people and we had no guide at Vesuvius. So, if you wish to book a trip with HP travel, do it on line with Trip Advisor, so you will have in writing what you are going to get.
If the weather is planned for rain or rough chop cancel the tour. Horrible experience. Very tough swells and ride to Capri, then tour around waters of Capri the boat operator handed out vomit bags. Definitely do not go if the weather is bad. We ended up canceling and took ferry back at our expense.
Great experience! The boat ride is shared with about thirty people and at the end is also offered a taste of limoncello. Very nice our escort Elena
Very good trip to Capri. Elena was on hand all day to ensure the trip went seamlessly; even taking some photos of us while we swam in the sea and sent them to us after.
Well organised. Elena was very helpful and knowledgeable about Capri and kept the group together and clear about timings. The panoramic boat trip of the island was the best part, it’s beautiful. When on the island, we did a lot of walking which we enjoy, but the island is very hilly so if you don’t want to do a lot of walking you will need to get bus tickets or the tour operator’s bus which is an extra €25. The bars and cafes are very expensive so we had dinner when we got home. One negative- the advert says Towers Hotel in Vico Equense can be a pick up point, but when we asked about this, it was an extra €15 Euros each. The driver said this made no sense as he drove past the hotel, but we had to be picked up in the town’s train station. Being picked up at the hotel, which is on the main road, would have been better.
Great tour that gives useful advice and tips whilst on the Island. Lots of time given to explore alone and a good tour by boat around the island.
The cost of the trip isn’t a true reflection of the expense on the day. When you arrive in Capri you soon realise that this island is very busy and expensive!! The Tour Operator sells you €25 mini bus tickets so you can get to the main attractions. We wanted to go up the mountain in a chairlift coasting €14 which was reasonable and well worth the money. The whole island was super busy and we were ready to leave after 4 hours. We have to wait a further three hours sat in busy and expensive bar/restaurants. The only thong worthwhile was our lunch at the top of the mountain and I wished I spent more time enjoying the view rather than the marina.
The website showed our hotel as a pick up point, but when we booked it it said pick up wasn’t possible and the transfer bus wasn’t available to us. So taxis cost us 70euro extra, even though we were only just up the coast. The guide never met us at our collection point (again as advertised), and only met us at Capri. The tour around the island was okay but the guide added very little information and value, and was generally inaudible. The advice offered on travelling around Capri was incorrect and local buses were fine. We waiting a maximum of 15 minutes, not the 50 minutes to an hour as were told. The hop on bus would have cost us another 100 euro for a family of 4. Instead the bus was 20 euro. I mentioned this to the guide and said I was a bit disappointed but he didn’t really seem interested in taking our feedback forward, which is a shame because the comms prior to that had been excellent.
