This was one of the most fantastic trips we’ve ever done! My partner and I feel extremely lucky that Kumar, the owner of the company, and our guide Kumar Adhikari, went above and beyond our expectations. The entire experience was surreal, from the high mountain vistas, the local villages, the incredible food at all the tea houses, the views, the many waterfalls, and the incredible abundance of life! We weren’t sure what to expect coming during monsoon season, but we found the daily rain to be soothing and fewer tourists meant more solitude and fewer crowds. Our guide Kumar was super attentive to all of our needs and wishes, from helping us pick leeches off our boots, to helping us find medicine when we were sick, to waiting on us hand and foot for every meal. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area, knew many of the local people, and him and his porter, Manesh, treated us like family. Wow. It was incredible to feel so safe and taken care of while doing something like this. A trek like this takes you out of your comfort zone, and even though there were hard days and moments, Kumar always made sure we had what we needed, even adjusting our days as needed. Kumar was not only wise, well trained, and polite, but he was fun, gracious, kind, compassionate, and a delight to be around. We definitely feel like we made a friend and can’t wait to tell all our friends back in the states about this company and this incredible experience. We couldn’t be more grateful, and would recommend this company and our guide, Kumar to anyone lucky enough to be on one of his trips!
