Esta experiência vai dar-lhe a oportunidade de provar uma abundância de produtos locais, dos maiores produtores cretenses. Do clássico Raki / Tsikoudia, ao cretense Bougatsa, as variedades locais de queijo local, azeitonas e até os melhores doces. Para tornar este passeio único, adicionámos uma visita a uma loja de ervas e produtos locais, (que, entre os locais, é considerada a jóia mais secreta) e também uma visita ao melhor fabricante tradicional de facas cretenses. Visitamos a cidade moderna e a antiga. Podemos ver no caminho, o Mercado (que está em reconstrução), as charmosas ruas estreitas da cidade velha e a beleza do Porto Veneziano. Our tour guide, Maria, was excellent. We experienced many local, well established, traditional eateries.
We loved spending the day with Maria. She showed us so much of the city, taught us some Greek phrases and stuffed us full of good food. The views of the city were amazing and we enjoyed the shopping too.
We had the best time on our walking tour with John. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the food was absolutely fantastic. This is a define must do while in Chania!

My family and I had an outstanding experience on this tour. Our guide Christos was exceptionally knowledgeable and warm, and what impressed us most was how naturally he read the room. Our family has a mix of personalities, and he struck a perfect balance between drawing people in and giving space to those who preferred to just take it all in, without anyone feeling left out or put on the spot. He took us to corners of Chania we never would have found on our own, and the food was simply remarkable. If Christos recommends a restaurant, take his word for it. Just go. The food tour with him was one of the true highlights of our entire time in Crete.
Perfect way to kick off our trip! (And to stay awake a little later to adjust to the time change.) Food was incredible and so well thought out. Especially appreciative of accommodations for food allergy and vegetarian diets in the group. Helped orient us to Chania and identify spots to dine during our visit. All the stars.
Our guide John was a genius ! Not only did he go out of his way to try to find one of our participants the souvenir that he wanted, the information he gave us about the country and the area was top-notch. He took his time, he never made us feel rushed and we would highly recommend anyone requesting him for this tour. The food was delicious and we loved stopping at all of the local places and getting the history of the food. It was storytime all day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
We had a great experience with Christos on the food walking tour! The tour is extremely well organized, with a great mix of locations. He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and you can feel the passion he has for Chania and Cretan food. He also made himself available for any help we needed during our trip and the restaurant recommendations he provided were excellent! Highly recommend this tour anyone that loves food and wants to learn more about Chania.
We had a lovely time exploring the area with John. This was so much more than a food tour. The food and the restaurants that we visited were amazing. We could tell we were where the locals ate. We learned about the history of town and had many opportunities for pictures. John was so kind and we just felt so at ease and relaxed with him.
