O Parque Nacional Izta Popo possui 2 vulcões no mesmo local. Criamos trilhas para caminhadas para que você possa desfrutar das vistas incríveis do vulcão adormecido Iztaccíhuatl e do vulcão ativo Popocatépetl. Nosso guia local explicará a flora e a fauna da região. Viva e respire o ar puro a cerca de 3.600 metros acima do nível do mar e 4.300 metros acima do nível do mar. É um excelente lugar para compartilhar uma experiência maravilhosa sozinho, com amigos ou com a família. O passeio inclui transporte de ida e volta. Escolha entre: Nível 1. A caminhada começa a cerca de 3.600 metros acima do nível do mar e termina a 3.980 metros acima do nível do mar. A trilha é sinalizada e arenosa. A distância total é de aproximadamente 8 a 9 km, dos quais 4 km são de subida moderada e 4 km de descida. Nível 2. A distância total é de 14 km, dos quais 4 km são de subida e o restante de descida, com alguns metros de subida moderada. A trilha é predominantemente arenosa, com vistas para o Iztaccihuatl na ida e para o Popocatépetl na volta. Nível 3. Trata-se de uma caminhada de 7 km a uma altitude entre 4.000 e 4.500 metros acima do nível do mar, em terrenos com areia e pedras.

Nossa aventura começa no Paso de Cortés. Neste ponto deixamos o veículo, nosso guia certificado nos dá as instruções e nos preparamos para a caminhada. Temos 3 opções de percurso com diferentes níveis de dificuldade. Bem, escolha uma, qualquer uma das 3 opções. Todos foram cuidadosamente projetados para que você não perca as maravilhosas vistas oferecidas pelos vulcões.
Neste passeio você pode escolher entre 3 níveis diferentes: Nível 1 = Neste passeio percorremos trilhas marcadas em direção ao vulcão Izta. É um passeio harmonioso onde chegaremos a um mirante onde você poderá admirar a beleza de Iztaccíhuatl e Popocatépetl. Distância de 9 a 11km, entre altitudes de 3.670 e 4.000 msnm. queda de 330m. Nível 2 = Neste percurso passamos por uma zona de nascentes e floresta, admirando as belas paisagens que caracterizam este Parque Nacional. Possui trilhas não tão marcadas, off-road em pastagens e subidas. Distância de 14,5 a 15km entre altitudes de 3.670 e 4.100 msnm com desnível de 580m. Nível 3 = Caminharemos a uma altitude maior, nesta altura as vistas são panorâmicas. Os caminhos são feitos de pedra, areia e encostas. Esta rota é conhecida como a "Ruta de Portillos" na qual chegaremos ao 2º ou 3º portão dependendo das condições meteorológicas. Distância de 7 km entre altitudes de 3.900 e 4.300 msnm com desnível de 420m

My and my girlfriend got picked up at the chosen pick-up-point. Our guide Luis was really kind and enthousiastic about the environment during the drive. At the beginning of the hike he gave us some coffee/tea and had some time to get used to the altitude. The hike was great and we even saw a eruption from the volcano. Luis was kind and we had a lot of fun with him. We felt really safe.

We did the level 2 hike to Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl with Luis, and the experience was incredible. Luis was always super friendly, explained many things during the tour, and answered all our questions with great patience. The hike was impressive, the views are beautiful, and we went at our own pace the whole time, which made us enjoy the experience a lot. It is clear that Luis knows the area very well and loves what he does. We definitely recommend it and would do another hike with him.

We chose the level 2 and were challenged but Rafa knew when to stop and rest. We are 64 and 63 years old. If you are in good shape go for it. We made it and we’re only pushing it the last 4 km. We were lucky with the weather which Rafa said is good from Nov-Apr. Very scenic and glad we took the route that saw the waterfalls. Rafa did a great job getting us to see everything in a safe manner. He is a very experienced guide and guides all over Mexico and has experience around the world.

The guide was very nice and polite, and the excursion was conducted in a calm and pleasant manner. There wasn’t much commentary during the tour, which made sense given the nature of the area — the views were beautiful, but there was a very limited variety of plants and virtually no wildlife to see apart from birds. The route itself was very easy. Anyone who has done a few hikes before would find it quite comfortable and not physically demanding. Our main concern was the vehicle. The car was extremely small even for the group size of only 4 people,only two backpacks could have been placed in the trunk and two of us had to sit on temporary children’s seats. There was very little legroom, and due to the road conditions and numerous bumps, it was quite uncomfortable, with heads frequently hitting the rear window. There were also no handles to somehow hold yourself as those seats are not meant for drive like this. We switched seats on the way back, and everyone was able to experience that the conditions were quite uncomfortable for a two-hour drive each way. Overall, the guide was kind and professional, but improving the transportation would greatly enhance the experience.

Loved it! Friendly and knowledgeable guide and stunning views. Varm attire was essential as we started round sunrise. The early morning views and scenery was well worth the chill morning temperatures and 5 am departure from Puebla.
