Greetings from Norway! We just returned form a fantastic trip arranged by Peregrine Treks. We went with the Helicopter return with in my opinion is a must for the EBC trek, we also upgraded the rooms as the standard can vary a lot on the basic accommodation. I f you got the extra money to spend I highly recommend the upgrade, especially for the helicopter return which as a fantastic experience. I would like to highlight the good support we got upfront of the hiking and all the last minutes changes that was flawless arranged to meet our request, Pradip did a fantastic job supporting all our planned and unplanned request. Sherpa Nima is such a nice person and a very experienced and knowledgeable guide an made our hike so nice and comfortable for us. I highly recommend Peregrine Treks to everyone that wants to go hiking in Nepal! Follow their advice and spend some time to discuss details before you start your epic hiking's in Nepal, you will for sure benefit form that.
Communication was not to a level it needed to be for such a trip as trekking to Everest Base Camp. Total fluency in English isnt expected, but there wasnt enough to understand what was needed to understand for most of the trek. We didn't know how the expect the pace of the day or how breaks should work, and our guide would tell us to slow down, but then would take the sherpa and blaze on ahead so fast and far that we felt like we had to keep up or get left behind. There were no photo ops or breaks for the first 5-6 days, literally all my photos are taken as I am having to speed walk through the mountain range while looking at my feet. We didn't get to learn anything really either. Maybe 5-6 random facts or cultural things total. But over a nine day span, I wanted to learn about the area, the culture, what we were seeing. We went through the Memorial site for trekkers and he didnt say anything. The only reason I knew what it was was seeing it on instagram before the trek. He was a genuinely nice guide, but he had no business leading the trek with that little english competency. And once the tour was over, it felt like we were left to the dogs to understand what was going on. We were rushed onto a helicopter and then left in the middle of the field a few villages down with no explanation. Then no one at the airport to pick us up. There were many areas that could have been better, but really so much more could have been forgiven if the communication level was up to par.

the best travel choice I ever made was to hike to everest base camp. pradip handled everything with ease including travel and lodging.krishna our guide was well-versed in the area, told tales about sherpa culture, and kept a constant eye on our well-being. the trek moved at the ideal speed, allowing plenty time for acclimatization without feeling hurried. our suitcases were carried by the porters with amazing power, and they always smiled when they saw us. I valued the team's efforts to make sure we were comfortable every time. It was a fun, safe and well-planned excursion. I would gladly go trekking with them once more....

We were a group of 18 young old adults with an average age of around 55! Some for the full EBC trek and a few for a shortened version. Planning started almost a year ago with Pradip Karki, who was most patient with our queries and doubts. Our entire trip was meticulously planned and executed. Almost everything was on schedule. We had wonderful guides with us and almost everyone had personal porter. I was lucky to have been assigned Kamal Puri as my assistant. I am almost 65 and had some difficulty in keeping up with the rest of the gang. But Kamal pushed and encouraged me at every point. But for his support I would not have the trek entirely on foot! Thank you Pradip & thank you Kamal for an experience of a lifetime.
Did an Everest base camp luxury trek solo with a guide. Peregrine made the entire trip so easy from start to finish - it took no time to sign up and they sent me an itinerary right away. Everything was easy to figure out when I arrived in Kathmandu. My arrival day I had a great tour around town to acclimate. When weather delayed flights they were quick to switch me to a helicopter. My guide, Kamal, was excellent. Because I was solo it was really important that I felt safe, comfortable, and relaxed with my guide. He looked at for me and gave me lots of great details about the area and advice. Incredible experience! On my return to Kathmandu I was sad to learn a family member had died and they were days to quickly rearrange airport transfers at midnight so I could hop on the earliest flight home. Highly recommend Peregrine and Kamal Puri!
We just conquered the Everest Base Camp trek in style, and it was all thanks to Peregrine Treks & Tours and the incredible Pradip! This wasn't your average trek. Witnessing the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayas while being so well looked after made the journey truly unforgettable. Huge thanks to Pradip for his meticulous planning. Everything ran smoothly, and his attention to detail ensured a comfortable and enriching experience. A big shoutout to our fantastic guide and porter as well for their expertise and attentiveness throughout the trek. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peregrine Treks & Tours to anyone considering an Everest Base Camp adventure. The value we received for this luxurious experience was simply outstanding! Thank you so much, Pradip! We'll be back for more adventures, for sure.
My recent Everest Base Camp trek with Peregrine Trek was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu Marriott , then to Lukla to the day I returned, We used helicopters to and from Kathmandu to Lukla and further due to more reliability . We stopped at Phakding , monjo , Namche , on our trek and further up at pangboche, Dingboche ( where we had great acclimatization ascent and descent) Our lead guide, Mukhiya, was an invaluable asset throughout the trek. His knowledge of the region, his passion for mountaineering, and his genuine care for our well-being made all the difference. He was assisted by Ashish and Renjit, who provided excellent support and encouragement and specially my assistant guide Dorji, and both porters Gyan and Dilkumar . Yeti Mountain Homes lodges, which offered comfortable and clean accommodations throughout the first three nights of stay in the trek. The highlight was our stay at the Everest View Hotel, the highest hotel in the world. The breathtaking views of Mount Everest from our room as well as terrace were simply unforgettable. The itinerary was well-paced, allowing us to acclimatize gradually to the high altitude. We trekked through diverse landscapes, from lush forests to barren mountain passes, and encountered a variety of wildlife along the way. The daily briefings provided by our guides could have been better and their knowledge of flora , fauna was patchy, and without WiFi we lacked the education I expected from them. The trek to Everest Base Camp is very very challenging, The sense of accomplishment we felt upon reaching the base camp was immense. The stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Everest itself, as well as Ama Dablam, Pomori ,made the entire journey worthwhile. Mt. Everest Lhotse ,Nuptse Ama Dablam,Kangtega and Thamserku to name few The entire Peregrine Trek team especially the guides and porters went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. They carried our luggage, and assisted us with any special requests we had and I was fortune to hire two porters just for me with extra payment . Their attention to detail and personalized service made was excellent. Our return was a Heli ride with sops at Kala Pathar and Gokyo lake and then Lukla for additional cost . If you are considering an Everest Base Camp trek, I recommend Peregrine Trek with its owner Pradip Karki always available on WhatsApp or mobile . Certain additional hints : Carry disposable urinal packs for gorakshep where rooms lack bathrooms Hot water bags for last 2-3 days Chapsticks Electrolytes tablets Pillow covers Optional sleeping bag for last 2-3 days ,-20’C verified For Indian travelers , take adequate Indian dehydrated ready to eat packs where you just add boiling water Always have fulfilling breakfast in morning Water bottles with long spouts Layered clothes UV protective sunglasses Adequate back up medicines especially loperamide , Stool softeners , Cetrizine , otrivin, Vicks inhalers ( worked like charm ), Vicks cream , NSAIDS, acetaminophen , I used .25-.5 mg alprazolam which generally not recommended but few of us used it to get good nights sleep and didnot see any breathing depression. We didnot use energy bars etc which is highly cited by people , and actually offloaded few of those to lighten our backpack I carried my GoPro and put it on my Sherpa head , and taugh hi how to use it Overall a great fulfilling trip ,
