We ended up going hiking around Spitzingsee since the original area was a mess from the recent rains. We had a great time! Stefanie was an excellent guide, it was like going for a hike with an good friend. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
My son and I had booked a more strenuous hike with Stefanie but I sprained my ankle the day before and could only do shorter distance hikes. Stefanie pivoted immediately and created a really special day for us. She was also delightful to spend time with.
What a beautiful hike! Even a brief, late spring hail storm couldn't dampen the experience. Chris was an excellent guide. Friendly and very knowledgeable. My wife hurt her foot prior to the hike, which slowed us down. Chris adjusted pace easily and took great care to be sure we weren't going too fast while still ensuring we had a great time. Wonderful mountain restaurant, waterfalls, and migrating cows! The local hydrotherapy pool was an excellent (and chilling!) way to finish.
Thank you, Brian! It's great you enjoyed the tour so much. I have passed your compliments on to Chris :-)
We went on a hike with Stephanie in Blomberg. We really wanted to go on an Alpine coaster and I found that Munich Wanderland was one of the few tour operators that specifically mentioned this activity. We started at the Munich main station and took a train and transferred to a bus (so no driving needed!). We then arrived at Blomberg. We took a chair lift up the mountain. We hiked around the mountains and took a break at Blomberghaus for coffee and cake. The sights were beautiful and we really enjoyed the hiking and the fresh air. We then hiked about half way down the mountain to the Alpine toboggan which we took down the mountain to the bottom. We then took a bus to Bad Tolz and walked around the town and had an introduction to some German food specialties while we waited for our train. It was the best activity that we did while in Munich and we highly recommend it! Stephanie is an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable, personable and friendly and she was able to time our activities perfectly so that we avoided the rain. The Alpine Toboggan was super fun and great for adults and our 13 year old. You can find videos is you search youtube for blomberg tobaggan (Tripadvisor wouldn't let me link to the video). Just a point of information, Stephanie is in great shape, and the "easy" hike was a bit strenous for us office types. :) We would love to go back to Munich and if so, I would definitely book another tour with Stephanie!
Thank you, Charlene. I am glad you enjoyed our Hiking and Alpine Coaster Tour so much. I have passed your compliments on to Stef S as well :-)
We were in Munich for the Oktoberfest and did this tour on September 27th. Our guide was Stephanie and our driver was Robert with Trip Companion. Both were excellent. Stephanie's English is exceptionally good. You will have no problem communicating with here in writing or in person. We had planned to go to the Eagles' Nest that day but due to the weather, we did a pivot and did this scenic tour of Berchtesgaden and also toured the The Berchtesgaden Salt Mine. The weather was lovely and the views were nothing short of majestic. We had a great day and would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to some of the most beautiful parts of Bavaria. These photos do not do the area justice. Truly breathtaking views.
I appreciate your kind words, Lisa! Berchtesgaden really is such a great place to visit. Hopefully see you again this year :-)
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the light hiking tour excursion. I wanted my teens (17 and 14) to experience the Bavarian countryside and this daytrip was perfect. Stefanie is a wonderful guide. She helped us navigate the train system which was helpful for the rest of our trip. We solely used public transportation in Munich and Salzburg. The hike was the perfect length and exposed us to the quaint village of Bayrischzell, the Wendelstein mountain, beautiful mountain Meadows and a lovely lunch. I highly recommend this experience.

Stefanie of Munich Wanderland did the 360° hiking tour with me (I was a regular hiker in my home country but it was the first time for me to do hiking in Germany) in late Oct 2023 which was wonderful - we started at the Munich Central train station and then took the train and bus to arrive at the starting point. We hiked up to the summit seeing the panoramic view of the mountain valley (the view was breathtaking!). We then hiked down to a pretty lake to have Bavarian lunch (and beer of course) and eventually to Mittenwald seeing the beautiful Lüftlmalerei. Stefanie was the best hiking tour guide I have met so far - she was experienced, well-prepared (eg Stefanie noted from her preparation that one of the trains that we were supposed to take suddenly did not run on the day and had already prepared in advance an alternative transfer arrangement such that our hike could go ahead smoothly. Stefanie also prepared snacks as well as celebration drink for me when we got to the summit!), super friendly (eg I asked Stefanie a lot of questions (regarding hiking, Munich, Germany ...) during the hike who was always very willing to share her views, knowledge and experience) and caring (eg We came to a spot where the soil was waterlogged and quite hard to tell which part was better to be stepped on - Stefanie told me to follow her a few steps behind such that she could make sure the soil that I would step on would be safe). Stefanie also spoke perfect English which was particularly important for me as I could not speak any German. I strongly recommend anyone who wishes to try hiking from Munich (whether you are solo or with others) to do one with Stefanie for an enjoyable experience like mine!
Thank you for your detailed review, Rita! It was lovely having you on our 360° Tour.
Scenic, lovely day led by brilliant people with outstanding customer service. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to experience a hike in the region.
Going on a hiking tour with Stephanie was big fun! We hit a day with great weather and went to Partnachklamm. It's a marvelous valley and a refreshing place on hot days. Stephanie was not only an relaxed, host, she also gave some background about the Alps - in a light, easy way. There was a good spirit among the group. All in all a relaxing, just a little bit challenging and fun day of hiking. Strongly recommended!
