Descubra o segredo paradisíaco escondido nas montanhas da Terra do Fogo: o trekking Laguna Esmeralda. Você gosta da natureza e das montanhas? Então esta caminhada é para você. Você vai tirar uma das fotos mais bonitas da Terra do Fogo. Passaremos para buscá-lo em seu hotel e percorreremos 16 quilômetros de veículo pela Rota Nacional nº 3 até chegar ao início do caminho. A aventura começa! No total, 9 quilômetros (ida e volta) esperam por você caminhando pela floresta: vales glaciais, fazendas de castores, turfeiras e a magia fuegiana que o acompanha durante toda a jornada. Esta caminhada é considerada de média dificuldade, não apresentando desníveis significativos.

Faremos uma parada técnica em Valle de Lobos, onde o guia nos mostrará (se necessário) o uso correto e a preparação adequada de equipamentos de segurança, como crampons.
A caminho da Laguna Esmeralda, uma parada no Mirador del Valle Carbajal convida você a fazer uma pausa e contemplar uma das paisagens mais impressionantes da Terra do Fogo. Deste mirante panorâmico, desdobra-se um vasto vale de origem glacial, coberto por turfeiras, rios sinuosos e cercado pela imponente cordilheira da Fuegia. É o lugar ideal para tirar fotografias, respirar ar puro e conectar-se com a natureza em sua forma mais pura. Em dias claros, o contraste de cores e a imensidão da paisagem fazem desta paragem um momento inesquecível da excursão.
Chegar à Lagoa Esmeralda é o ponto alto da caminhada, onde a natureza se mostra em toda a sua beleza. Suas águas de um verde intenso, alimentadas pelo derretimento da geleira Ojo del Albino, contrastam com as montanhas, florestas e turfeiras circundantes. A paisagem é serena e majestosa, ideal para descansar, tirar fotografias e desfrutar de um momento único no coração da cordilheira do Fogo. When I read the description of this tour, I thought that I would have no problems because all that was indicated was: Not recommended for travelers with back problems, No heart problems or other serious medical conditions, Not recommended for pregnant travelers, Most people can participate, and if you come with inappropriate attire, you will be refused. I complied with all those, and even if I use a walking cane to support my balance, I can still do treks. We even hurried the night before to a gear rental shop to rent proper hiking boots. Unfortunately, when the guide saw my condition on the day of the tour, we were denied participation and I was really sad this happened but I understand that they are just concerned for my safety. They offered a full refund but I did not want the day to go to waste (aside from the boots rental fee which went to waste already) and so they transferred us to the afternoon tour, the Classic 4 x 4 drive to the lakes of Ushuaia and it was a wonderful and enjoyable tour. So fair enough and all's well that ends well.

Ours was about a 90 minute hike each way. It was colder and more wind as we got close to lake. We put on gloves at the lake. Plan on layering and keep clothing change in backpack. Stocking caps never taken off and pulled down over ears for a few sections of hike. Rent boots as the shoes you wear will get muddy and wet! Stretches of hike are over muddy/boggy areas & streams. Part of the trek is up hill over rocky terrain. It is a gorgeous hike with mtn & pastoral vistas. Couple stores in Ushuaia rent the hike boots. Only disappointment was when we got back to meeting point parking lot after the hike had to wait an hour for van pickup. Gascon, our guide, apologized and said should not have happened. Gascon nice and friendly but did not provide much info on the areas we were hiking through. If that is of interest read up before you go.

Laguna Esmeralda is a beautiful but truly Patagonian hike — changing weather, wind near the lake, muddy sections and rocky terrain are all part of the experience. Our guide Antonela was great and very experienced. She responded very well to the different needs in the group and seemed very competent and professional. Good clothing, good hiking boots and medium fitness are required.

We did Laguna Esmeralda with Fernanda, 4x4 excursion to the lakes with Guille, City tour with Ariel. Excellent guides. They fulfilled everything promised and more. Also because national and train, and navigation through the Beatles canal. Excellent coordination and the best vibe so we can enjoy this beautiful place! Thanks a lot
